Find yourself somewhere comfortable to sit.

Allow your feet to rest gently on the floor.

And allow your eyes to close.

Begin to take in a nice long deep breath.

Feeling your chest and your tummy rise and expand.

And then exhale fully,

Allowing your shoulders to drop and your tummy to relax.

Now begin to imagine a beautiful tree.

Visualise this tree in front of you.

It can be any kind of tree that comes to mind.

A tall large oak tree or a beautiful green spruce.

Look at the tree and take in all its beauty.

The colour of the leaves.

The branches gently swaying.

Now begin to visualise yourself as this tree.

Standing strong.

Your legs,

The roots,

Buried deeply in the earth.

Stretching down into the earth's core.

Creating a solid base.

As you breathe in,

Draw that breath and take that breath right down through your belly.

Through your legs.

Through your roots and right into the earth.

The beautiful warm core.

You feel the earth's energy nourishing and revitalising your roots.

And that energy travels back up.

Back up the trunk of your tree and right out to your branches.

That are reaching out,

Absorbing the beautiful sun's energy.

Again,

Take that beautiful breath in,

Breathing in through your branches and the sun's energy.

And taking that breath right down through your roots and into the core.

And again,

Breathing up through the core.

And out through your branches and into the world beyond.

See how strong you feel.

How connected.

A solid base.

How safe.

Allow your breath to fall into a natural flow.

Nothing forced.

Just breathing in and out gently and slowly.

Then you're going to begin to take one nice long deep breath in.

Beginning to engage and connect with the world around you.

Engage in the present moment.

And slowly,

When you feel ready,

You can gently open your eyes.

Well done.
