This tapping meditation is designed to help energetically clear guilt and shame around choices you've made that you regret,
So that you can come into a better alignment,
Understand the lesson or lessons learned,
Forgive yourself,
And move forward making choices that leave you feeling better aligned with your true nature,
Empowered and free.
Let's begin with a cleansing breath,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
And just breathing naturally,
Bring to mind a situation that you feel disappointed in yourself about.
And there may be more than one that springs to mind,
But for this meditation let's just focus on one.
On a scale of 0 to 10,
To what degree is this weighing on you?
How much guilt or shame or disappointment do you feel?
Just make a mental note of the number.
And remember as always,
If I say a phrase that doesn't resonate with you,
You're welcome to replace it with one that's more accurate.
So let's begin tapping on the karate chop point,
And we say,
Even though I feel bad about this situation or choice.
I'd like to deeply love and accept myself anyway.
Even though I wish I'd done things differently,
And I'm carrying this burden of shame,
I forgive myself and anything else that contributed to my making the choices that I have.
Even though I'm not happy with myself,
I'm ready to release this guilt and shame and reset my energy system for more freedom,
Expansion,
And joy.
Good.
Now let's go to the eyebrow point and tapping we say,
Feeling bad about the choice I made.
Side of the eye.
I really don't like feeling this way.
Under the eye,
I wish I had acted more consciously or courageously.
Under the nose,
This knot of bad feeling in the pit of my stomach,
Chin,
Feeling disappointed in myself,
Collarbone,
This sense of heavy heartedness and regret.
Under the arm,
I'd like to forgive myself and life.
Top of the head and open to new more resourceful choices now.
And take a breath.
Now I'd like you to tune into what feels stuck or blocked still and find your own phrase to describe your experience.
So you can hit the nail on the head of it with your tapping and clear stuck energy from your system.
For instance,
You might say,
I feel guilty for getting angry with a person,
Or I feel bad for indulging in an addiction.
I let myself down with the choice I made,
Or I let someone else down.
So tune in and find your own short reminder phrase.
We're going to begin this round of tapping through the points repeating this phrase.
And you're welcome to change it up to a new phrase which may arise that feels more apt as we go along.
So starting at the eyebrow point,
Speak your phrase out loud,
Such as,
I feel bad about how I acted.
Now move to the side of the eye and repeat the phrase or say a new one.
Now under the eye,
Repeat your phrase.
Tuning into the feeling associated with it as you do.
Under the nose,
Repeat your phrase or find a new one.
Chin,
Connecting with your experience and truth.
Collarbone,
Repeating your phrase and clearing the energy through.
Under the arm,
Let's say,
Releasing any stuck energy,
Trauma,
And disappointment.
And finally,
Top of the head,
I choose to open to greater presence and freedom now.
Good,
And take a breath.
Close your eyes for a moment and just breathe softly.
Notice if you feel any more spaciousness in your body and mind.
Can you begin to see the situation that caused you to feel guilty or bad from a new perspective?
If this is earth school,
What important lesson did you learn through this experience?
And even what upside,
If any,
Has there been?
Inviting in the quality of self-compassion,
Mercy,
And self-love now.
And you can visualize this as a shimmering golden light coming down through the top of your head and radiating throughout your whole body,
Cleansing and clearing your energy channels as it moves downwards and eventually dissolves into the earth.
Bringing you into balance,
Peace,
And open-hearted receptivity to your good.
And now just let float to your mind an action that you would like to take to honor yourself and perhaps others moving forward.
This could be a conversation you'd like to have with someone to clear the air,
Or an act of self-care you'd like to step into.
Perhaps a ritual of release you'd like to undertake,
Or anything else that might shift you into greater well-being and clarity.
And when you are ready you can gently open your eyes and move into your day or afternoon or night owning a sense of greater presence and freedom.
