Good morning.
Welcome to this morning inspiration.
I'm Susan Guttridge and I'm so pleased to be starting this new day with you.
As you're awakening,
Give your body a stretch,
Perhaps all through your arms,
Your neck,
Your back,
Even down into your legs.
Take a deep breath in and when ready,
Exhale slowly and with it,
Release any lingering tension from sleep.
As your body settles,
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Just being curious,
Not judging anything you notice.
You're here,
Awake,
And that's enough for now.
For our morning inspiration,
Let's reflect on the nature of courage.
We often picture it and its close cousin bravery as something loud and fierce,
Dramatic.
Yet so often,
True strength shows up in far quieter ways.
Courage can be that gentle,
Persistent inner voice that encourages us to keep going even when the day has been long,
Challenging or draining.
Resilience isn't always about grand gestures.
It's often found in the simple decision to show up again.
It's the quiet commitment to keep moving forward despite exhaustion,
Despite setbacks,
Despite self-doubt.
To choose to try again tomorrow is a profound act of hope.
As you begin this day,
Perhaps you're waking with some uncertainty.
Maybe there's something in the day ahead that feels heavy or unknown.
If so,
Know this.
The decision to simply keep going,
To show up again,
To try,
Is enough.
That quiet voice inside you that whispers,
I can try again,
Is the sound of your inner strength.
If it feels okay,
Place one hand over your heart.
Feel that steady rhythm of your heart beating,
The rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in and out.
This is proof that you are here.
You are showing up.
You are persisting.
And that is a pretty great start.
I invite you to practice saying to yourself today,
I can try again.
I'm here and I can try again.
Take a moment to notice how those words feel.
Even try saying them.
Remember,
Rest doesn't equate to giving up or quitting.
A pause doesn't erase your progress.
So let that soft,
Resilient voice,
The one that says,
I'll try again,
Be your companion today.
It doesn't need to roar to carry you forward.
It just needs to be heard.
Thank you for listening and for starting your day with me.
Be well today.
