What we have influence over is how we respond to what the mind says.
So having an experience.
Might be fairly neutral like the contact with the chair or whatever.
Hands resting in the lap.
Sound of the traffic.
So just be with that.
Sometimes,
And even now there might be something a bit more Distressing.
Might be a sadness.
Might be a hauling in the body,
A heaviness.
Or just something in the background that often then we overlook.
So we keep busy to avoid it.
Just turn towards your experience.
And just feel what's here.
There might be something troubling us at the moment.
Give it space,
Meet it with spaciousness.
Be silently curious.
It's not an intellectual exercise.
It has joined us.
Just take your attention to your experience right now.
Not to memories.
Expectations,
But right now.
And meet whatever's here.
With spaciousness in silence.
Just feel it.
Maybe not.
In the belly,
The tension in the chest,
Might be more emotional.
Doesn't matter.
Through all sensations.
Just feel what's here.
What does it feel like?
Not why,
But what does it feel like?
That question doesn't need an answer,
It's just to bring curiosity.
If it changes,
It's okay if it doesn't appear to change,
That's okay Just meet it all with a kind of spaciousness,
Silence Just keep feeling it.
Is something.
Is arising in presence.
The presence is what never changes.
Like the sky.
Of the contents of this presence.
Continually changing.
So just leave the contents alone,
Just feel them.
The problem is we like some and we don't like others.
We push some away and get attached to others.
In continuing this way if you wish.
I just relax and do it.
So to feel the breath or just open awareness See what arises.
