Your unique expression of presence.
And so let's begin by settling comfortably into the support beneath you.
Begin to notice the places where your body rests against the support.
Feel the connection between your body and the cushion and allow yourself to sink deeply into that space.
As your body begins to relax and let go,
Allow yourself to take a deep breath and exhale on a sigh.
Allow this moment to feel luxurious,
To feel like a gift of rest and deep relaxation.
With each breath,
See if you can breathe just a little bit deeper.
And with each exhale,
See if you can allow your body to let go just a little bit more.
Breathing easily,
Luxuriating in this moment of pure,
Gentle rest.
Imagine that you are floating in a clear blue sea.
You feel buoyant and relaxed,
Floating easily and effortlessly.
The water is calm and warm.
Feel how the water supports you,
How it soothes you as it glides across your skin.
With your eyes closed,
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face.
Realize that you feel safe,
Completely relaxed and at peace.
And now imagine that as you float,
A soft breeze arises and you feel yourself slipping easily beneath the water's surface,
Swimming down,
Easily down into the cool,
Dark water.
Slowly naturally,

Sliding down through that cool,
Dark water.
Notice the sunlight streaming through the water,
Guiding you as you swim effortlessly,
Completely relaxed and at peace.
Realize the colorful coral and the vibrantly colored fish as you glide easily through that clear turquoise water.
With each easy breath,
You swim a little deeper,
Deeper and deeper,
Gliding effortlessly along the ocean floor,
That golden sand shifting slightly as you pass.
You feel so content and at ease,
Every breath feels fresh and pure.
The water is cool and tingles across your skin,
Gliding forward,
Swimming in this beautiful heart of the sea.
And as you swim,
You look ahead and notice a bright white shell nestled in that golden sand.
You pick it up and open it,
And within the shell is a beautiful radiant pearl.
As you look closely,
You notice a word,
One word shimmering across the face of that pearl.
This one word,
This is your essence.
This is your presence.
This one word.
Hold the pearl in the palm of your hand,
Feel the weight of it.
Curl your fingers around it lightly and say the word to yourself.
Say it knowing that it is true,
That this is the essence of who you are,
Your most authentic expression.

Buoyed by the truth of your essence.
Knowing who you are and what is yours to share with the world.
And as you breathe easily and naturally,
Gently become aware of the support beneath you,
The room around you.
Know that this word represents your true presence and it is within you always.
