Hello and welcome.
I invite you now to find a comfortable position either lying down or sitting upright with your spine relaxed but supported.
Allow your hands to rest softly and let your eyes close if that feels right for you.
Take a slow deep breath in and gently exhale feeling the air release from your body.
Once more breathing in calm and breathing out letting go.
As you settle here notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
There's nothing to change,
Nothing to control.
Just allow your breathing to flow steady and calm like gentle waves arriving and receding on the shore.
So often our minds drift into comparison.
We measure ourselves against others,
Their successes,
Their appearance,
Their choices,
Their lives and in doing so we sometimes forget that we are already whole,
Already enough just as we are.
Take a moment now to notice.
Has comparison been present in your life today?
If so simply acknowledge it without judgment.
Comparison is part of being human but it does not need to define you.
With your next exhale imagine gently releasing the weight of comparison as though you are setting down a heavy bag you no longer wish to carry.
Feel the lightness in your body as you let it go.
Now bring your awareness inward.
Place a hand gently over your heart if that feels comfortable.
Sense the quiet rhythm of your own being.
This steady presence has been with you since the very beginning.
Constant,
Faithful and uniquely yours.
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am enough as I am.
My journey is my own.
I release the need to compare.
Breathe these words into your heart.
Let them soften any harshness or doubt that may linger within you.
As you rest here bring to mind something you genuinely appreciate about yourself.
It could be a quality,
A small kindness you offered,
A strength you've shown or simply the effort you make each day.
Allow this appreciation to fill you like warm light spreading through your body.
Feel how it nourishes you from the inside out.
When you stand in your own light there is no need to compare it to anyone else's.
Your light is yours and it is beautiful.
Take a few deeper breaths now letting this truth settle within you.
You are unique.
You are whole.
You are worthy of peace.
As this meditation comes to a close bring awareness once more to your breath.
The gentle rise and fall.
The calm that lives within you.
Carry this sense of inner peace with you into the rest of your day or your evening and when comparison arises again as it may remember that you can return to this quiet space inside yourself or this meditation where you are all ready enough.
Take one final deep breath in and a long gentle exhale out.
When you are ready slowly open your eyes returning to the present moment with a soft heart and a peaceful mind.
