If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your body or struggling with the physical changes of perimenopause, this meditation is here to offer you softness and support. In just 8 minutes, you’ll be guided into deep self-compassion—releasing self-judgment and embracing your body with kindness, acceptance, and love. This is a practice of coming home to yourself—exactly as you are, in all your beautiful evolution. A wonderful gift to yourself—or to share with a friend who needs to hear that she is more than enough.

Welcome dear soul.

You are here to be with yourself in a space of softness and care.

Find a comfortable position and begin to settle into this moment.

Close your eyes gently.

Let your shoulders drop and take a deep nourishing breath in.

And a slow easy breath out.

Let the pace of the world fall away.

This is a sacred space just for you.

Now gently bring your attention to your body.

Not to judge it,

Not to change it,

But simply to notice and honour it.

Feel your breath moving in and out.

Feel your body responding,

Rising and falling.

Living,

Shifting,

Adapting.

Always supporting you.

Perhaps you've noticed changes lately.

Softness,

Heat,

Fatigue or unfamiliar sensations.

Whatever is present,

Let's meet it now with compassion.

Breathe into those places of change.

And silently whisper to your body,

You are allowed to change.

You are still beautiful.

You are worthy of love,

Always.

Now imagine yourself standing before a mirror.

Not a mirror of glass,

But a mirror of truth.

One that reflects your essence.

In this mirror,

You see your body exactly as it is.

But you also see what lies beneath.

Strength,

Softness,

Survival,

Transformation.

With each breath,

Imagine wrapping your arms around yourself in a warm,

Comforting embrace.

Let yourself feel the tenderness of that hug.

The acceptance.

The deep care.

Now visualise a soft pink light beginning to glow from your heart centre.

This light is the energy of self-compassion.

It's warm,

Gentle,

Forgiving.

Let it spread through your chest.

Your hips.

Your thighs.

All the way down to your toes.

Let it remind every cell,

You are not broken.

You are becoming.

You deserve kindness,

Not criticism.

As you rest in this compassion,

Speak softly to yourself.

I release the need to control my body.

I choose gentleness over judgement.

My worth is not measured by shape,

Age or size.

Let these words be like a balm.

Let them soften any tightness or resistance.

There is no perfect way to be in your body.

There is only your truth and it is beautiful.

Begin to return to the rhythm of your breath.

To the gentle rise and fall that supports you in every moment.

Place one hand on your heart.

One on your body.

Feel the warmth of your own touch.

Feel the life flowing through you.

Take one last deep breath in.

And exhale with a sense of ease.

When you're ready,

Softly open your eyes.

Carry this compassion with you today.

Let it colour your choices,

Your movement,

Your rest.

You are enough exactly as you are.

This is a lovely meditation. I have had terrible insomnia, brain fog, and other perimenopause symptoms. I feel rather defeated lately and this was so soothing and reassuring. Just what I needed! Thank you!
