Welcome to the Daily Insight.
My name is Jessica Amis.
I am founder of Stay With Yourself and teacher here on Insight Timer.
Today's meditation is on surrendering to change.
Let's start by taking some deep breaths in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
With each deep inhale,
Breathe deeply into your tummy,
Feeling it expand like you are filling an empty balloon with air and on each exhale,
Feel your tummy softening and releasing tension.
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
Breathing into your shoulders and neck,
Hips,
Legs,
Face,
Anywhere you are carrying tension.
Allow yourself to relax and let go now.
Allow yourself to be supported by the back of your body while the front of your body softens,
Relaxes and opens.
Imagine you are laying on the shore of a beautiful beach with the ocean waves gently flowing up around you kissing the edges of your body and gently pulling away from you and pulling you a little closer to itself toward the ocean.
Feel the waves flowing in around your body and back out.
Feel yourself as the ocean waves flowing in upon the shore and back out and allow yourself to fully relax and surrender to this ebb and flow knowing that this is what life is,
Constantly flowing in and out,
Coming and going.
Change is always constant,
Which is the most constant thing in your life.
And all is well and you are well always.
You are held,
You are carried,
You are one with all,
You are being looked after and supported.
You are expansive,
You contain multitudes and unknown wonders.
You do not need to control life to try to make it be and act and behave a certain way.
You can allow life to unfold and from this place of deep calm and peace,
You can respond to the ebb and flow of life with clarity and joy.
Allow yourself now to flow in and out with life,
Surrendering your fears and thoughts and worries,
Allowing them to be carried away into the vastness of the ocean where they are dissolved and you are free to just be and flow.
Come back to this as often as you need,
Surrendering,
Releasing tension in the body and allowing yourself to flow with life.
Thank you for sharing your meditation practice with me today.
May you stay with yourself today and always.
