Meeting an animal guide.
Be comfortable.
Close your eyes.
Relax your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your back.
Imagine yourself in a shady woodland.
Your feet are bare and the ground is soft and warm.
There are no stones or twigs,
Only soft moss and warm earth.
As you start to walk along the smooth dirt path you hear birds tweeting,
Calling out to each other high above your head.
The sun,
Which peeps through whenever the soft breeze rustles the trees and parts the upper branches,
Is beautifully bright and strong and the sky that you occasionally glimpse is a vast vivid blue.
Just relax.
Breathe in all of your surroundings,
The sights,
The sounds,
The smells.
Breathe in all the energy of mother nature that surrounds you.
As you continue to walk through the woodland the trees become fewer and fewer.
Eventually you find yourself in a wide open clearing.
It's very calm here,
Very peaceful,
And you decide to rest for a while.
You sit down on the warm ground and you lean back against an old tree stump.
I'm going to leave you here for a short while to enjoy the uncomplicated peacefulness,
I'm going to leave you here for a short while to enjoy the uncomplicated peacefulness,
The warmth of the day and the beauty that surrounds you here in the woodland.
Soon you will notice an animal entering the clearing.
Don't be frightened,
Just relax.
There may be more than one animal but focus only on the animal you feel most connected to and let the others come and go as they please.
In your mind you can ask the animal to come closer and begin talking to it.
You'll feel an increasing energetic link develop between you and knowing and understanding.
Don't be surprised if this animal guide talks to you or gives you an impression,
A message or a certain feeling just by the way it looks at you.
Don't force anything,
Just keep your mind clear and open to receive whatever you need at this time.
Relax into the experience and enjoy all the sensations and energies of the woodland and your encounter with this animal guide.
I'll come back for you.
Now if you haven't already done so,
Say goodbye to the animal and let them go off from the clearing.
As you stand have a last look around the clearing and know that you can come back to this place anytime you wish.
Begin taking smooth even deep breaths,
Might stretch,
You might wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
When you're ready let yourself come back to the place where you're sitting.
Give yourself a moment and make sure you have a drink.
You might want to journal your experiences and perhaps even google the significance or the symbolic meaning of the animal you met.
I find that always brings interesting meaning to the experience.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
