This is a short practice for when your nervous system has had enough.

You don't need to settle.

You don't need to feel calm.

Just being here is enough.

Let your body find a position that feels supportive,

Eyes open or closed,

Whatever feels safest right now.

You might notice the weight of your body being held by the chair,

By the floor,

By whatever is beneath you.

If your system has been open for a long time,

It makes sense that it feels like this.

For the next few moments you don't need to carry anything.

Let the surface beneath you do some of the holding.

When you're ready you can gently bring a little movement back or stay as you are.

There's no rush.
