Do you feel what others feel at a deep emotional and psychological level?
Do you absorb the stress and fear that surrounds you and feel emotionally overwhelmed at times as a result?
Do you need time alone to recharge your energy and process your emotions?
Are you compassionate and caring and often feel compelled to help others?
Are you highly intuitive and can often sense the energy when something is not right?
Me too and it's okay we're empaths.
Being an empath is a blessing but it can also be exhausting.
So an approach centered around energy management,
Self-compassion and gratitude is exactly what we need so we can create space and opportunities for growth by clearing physical and emotional clutter.
Empaths are like sponges.
When our batteries are down we absorb whatever we come into contact with.
When friends,
Family and the world around us are in good spirits we are flying high but when faced with fear,
Stress and injustice we are easily drained and ungrounded.
One of the most profound realizations an empath can have is learning that our inner and outer worlds mirror each other and that too much clutter in one blocks healing,
Progress and growth in the other.
Our space has a profound effect on our healing journey.
Simply looking at our clutter will raise our cortisol levels which means you're already feeling dysregulated the moment you open your eyes.
Even in a practical sense not being able to find workout gear or a space to meditate will increase our stress hormones.
You're already committed to doing the work but these seemingly small obstacles will slow down the healing journey.
I know that many people will recoil at the thought of decluttering but what if we just simply were not taught to align letting go with joy and gratitude.
It's a basic life skill that we aren't taught and more often than not we were scolded and reprimanded as children so these memories linger on and carry into our adulthood.
When we approach it by choosing joyfully and positively rather than focusing on what to eliminate from our lives we are guided to view life through the lens of gratitude and that weakens the negativity bias that is hardwired in our brains.
No matter what kind of home environment you grew up in we all have the ability and opportunity to rewire these neural pathways so that this necessary self-care becomes joyful and something you can look forward to.
This is why as empaths decluttering is a bomb for our souls to recharge especially when the world around us isn't making sense.
This is within our control to create a sanctuary where we can feel safe.
By choosing joy we will create more space for flow in our lives by letting go of what doesn't serve with gratitude and self-compassion.
Thank you for listening.
I look forward to journeying with you to create a safe space and come home to yourself.
