If you want to fly, you have to give up what is weighing you down. Together, we will focus on the power of release. Release is not just about letting go; it's first about honoring all parts and past versions of yourself with love. Sending compassion and permission to integrate all parts of self into your current reality. This meditation will walk you through a guided visualization as you release a balloon filled with whatever it is that you are ready to let go. By practicing non-attachment, you get to release your identity and any specific goals and outcomes.

Accept yourself,

Love yourself and keep moving forward.

If you want to fly,

You have to give up what weighs you down.

Roy T.

Bennett.

Hey there and welcome to your meditation on release.

You can listen to this meditation seated,

Lying down or even going for a walk.

Tune in to what your body needs at this time.

If it's available to you,

Gently closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths in and out.

Feel the support beneath you and allow yourself to relax into the present moment.

Gently noticing if you have circulating thoughts or items popping up on your to-do list.

Trust that if it's important,

It will come back to you later.

Return to your breath as your anchor,

Bringing your attention to the sweet inhale and cleansing exhale.

Notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales without trying to change them.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more present,

Letting go of any tension or tightness you may be holding on to.

If you want to fly,

You have to give up what weighs you down.

Release is not just about letting go.

It's first about honoring past versions of you with love,

Knowing that you were doing the best you could with the resources you had.

Bringing to your mind's eye the hurt,

Sad,

Shamed,

Disappointed,

Unruly or self-sabotaging version of you.

Maybe this is you at a particular age and send this part of you some love and let them know that you are ready to take care of them now.

When we release,

We make space for what is possible.

It's about opening up to what comes next.

It's about surrendering to the flow of life,

Trusting that what is meant for you will come to you in the right time and in the right way.

As you continue to breathe,

Imagine a balloon in your hand.

This balloon represents what is yours to release right now.

With each breath,

Feel yourself blowing up the balloon,

Filling it with all the things that no longer serve you.

Fill it with any fears,

Doubts or worries you may have.

Fill it with any attachments to specific outcomes or expectations.

Fill it with self-doubt,

Body shame,

Toxic ego,

Shitty relationships.

What is it that you are ready to release?

Notice how you are holding the balloon.

Are you gripping it tightly?

Often our identity can be attached to these things that keep us small and hold us back.

So we grip them and do not let them go.

It's okay to loosen your grip.

You are safe to loosen your grip.

Now imagine letting go of the balloon.

What color is the balloon as you watch it float up into the sky,

Getting smaller and smaller until it disappears into the vastness above.

As you release the balloon,

Feel a sense of lightness and freedom wash over you.

Feel the weight of what you let hold you down.

Be lifted off your shoulders.

Remember,

If you want to fly,

You have to give up what weighs you down.

Now let's practice non attachment.

Non attachment is not about disconnecting from your desires or goals.

It's about holding them lightly.

Knowing that they do not define your worth or happiness.

Non attachment is about being open to all possibilities.

Maybe something even greater than you could have possibly imagined.

Inviting your awareness back to your breath.

Repeating to yourself,

I release the need to control specific outcomes.

I trust in the divine timing of the universe.

I am open to all possibilities.

This or something greater.

I release the need to control specific outcomes.

I trust in the divine timing of the universe.

I am open to all possibilities.

This or something greater.

Inviting in some deeper inhales.

Cleansing exhales.

Putting both hands to rest on top of your heart.

Acknowledging the love within.

And acknowledging all emotions and all experiences that you carry.

Because all of you matters.

Gently bringing some movement to your fingers and toes.

Inviting your awareness into your space.

Wherever you are.

Gently floating your eyes open when you feel ready.

Sending you love and permission to release.
