Okay,
Taking your time,
Just settling into a comfortable seat and getting a couple stretches in your body,
Whatever might feel good,
Stretching your spine to the left and to the right,
Giving yourself a couple shoulder rolls and a couple big neck rolls all the way around in both directions.
When you feel settled,
Go ahead and bring your eyes to a close if that feels comfortable for you and taking a big deep breath in through your nose,
Pausing at the top and a slow,
Gentle exhale out your mouth.
Big belly breath,
Inhale,
Pause,
And exhale.
One more big inhale,
Pause,
And exhale,
This time allowing your breath to fully release,
Finding your way to the bottom.
When you get there,
Inviting in another deep breath and just letting your breath return to its natural normal cadence with a newfound appreciation and awareness.
I'm gonna read a grounding passage for our meditation from the book Lighter by Young Pueblo.
Building your self-awareness increases the agility of your mind.
When you make time to be present in your own mind,
It becomes possible to slow things down when difficult situations arise.
Rather than falling back into blind reactions that are rooted in your past,
You can intentionally lean into pausing and give yourself a moment to take a look at what is actually happening.
This ability to pause is not easy and it takes time to build this quality of the mind,
But the results of this practice are immense.
Giving yourself time to witness reality without immediately reacting is a signal of progress in your healing.
Now that you can see yourself and give yourself more time to process what is happening,
You can more easily behave in ways that align with your goals and honor your authenticity.
Finding the balance where you can be honest about what you are feeling and not allow a temporary emotion to take total control of your actions can help you better handle the unexpected changes of life.
Oftentimes people want to improve their lives,
But they end up focusing on the things around them instead of what is happening within them.
Changing your location as a way to start a new life can be helpful,
But if you never address your mindset,
Old patterns ingrained in your mind can recreate the situations you are trying to remove yourself from.
People will reassess their goals and have an idea of the particular life they want to manifest,
But things don't simply fall into place that easily.
A vision remains a vision until action is applied to it.
There is a common truth on the internet,
What is for you will come to you,
But life is never that simple.
The missing piece of that puzzle is life will continue to be difficult and you will block yourself from enjoying good things if you never deal with the heaviness of your mind and the fear that clutters your heart.
The things that are for you will come to you much more easily when you are deeply aligned with your truth and pursuing your growth.
The shape of your internal dynamic always influences what will come your way.
Taking a big deep breath in,
Gentle sigh,
And allowing those words to wash over you,
Holding on to anything in particular that lands for you,
And letting everything else wash away.
Envisioning yourself walking out on a big open field just by yourself,
Just by yourself,
Feeling connected to your authentic truth,
To your bliss that needs no explanation,
That version of you that is radiating sunlight and warmth from your heart,
And just allowing that to be your truth,
Creating a memory imprint of what this truth feels like in your body,
Knowing that this truth is always available for you to return to again and again,
Allowing yourself to grow and evolve,
Knowing that you can always come back to your truth,
Understanding that through life circumstances and upbringing,
Sometimes it can feel hard to get all the way back to that truth,
The truth that you were born worthy,
That you deserve to heal,
And that no matter where you are,
You get to bring your whole self with you wherever you go.
I'll take a few minutes here in silence with the invitation for you to focus on your breath,
Noticing the inhale and the exhale,
The ultimate tool of present moment awareness.
Just be here with your breath,
Noticing whatever might come up in your thoughts.
It's okay,
We're human.
We all have thoughts.
Choosing to let them go rather than follow the thought down the rabbit hole.
Release the thought,
Return to your breath,
And just simply noticing any emotions that might want to come up,
And just allow it to be so.
The happiness,
The joy,
The sadness,
The anger,
The fear,
All emotions have a place at the table.
All emotions are just here to teach us something.
Rather than rejecting the emotion,
Rather than judging it,
Inviting curiosity.
What are you here to teach me?
Taking a big,
Deep breath in,
Sigh it out,
And wrapping both arms around you like you're giving yourself a giant hug.
As you wiggle your toes and your fingers,
Just allowing yourself to feel the embrace,
Acknowledging yourself,
Or taking care of you.
Gently bringing your hands to a comfortable position,
Resting somewhere on your body,
Maybe over your heart.
Acknowledging the love and the light within,
And all that you carry.
Taking one more cleansing breath in,
And a complete exhale,
Releasing anything that's not yours to carry.
Whenever you feel ready,
Gently floating your eyes open.
