So,
Good morning and welcome.
Taking this moment to get yourself comfortable.
To settle into our stillness practice.
For this morning.
Settle into the sensation of your body and the slowing of the breath.
Finding ground.
And noticing sensation.
It might be you need some movement.
Often a bit of circling of shoulders or head.
Nothing too dramatic,
But just something to help you free up space.
So that your practice feels less like a rigid kind of rule-based,
This is how I'm supposed to do it and more like a warm welcome.
To the present moment,
Whatever shape that looks like.
Really trusting this relationship with ground.
That you are held.
That you can hand over some of.
For holding it together.
And give it to the air.
You might tune into the sounds around you,
The sounds of your space.
Not as if they are a distraction,
More as a welcoming.
We didn't practice in a vacuum.
But practice in the great web of into the in.
I hope is that you access a sense of dropping.
Any attention that you Fine,
Just netting it.
Melt.
Especially around the jaw and throat.
It's the bridge between the brain and the heart.
Are allowing it to soften.
So that communication and harmony.
Can move freely.
Our intention for this week is equanimity.
Just pausing.
And resting in two.
What that means to you.
Equanimity is one of the Traits.
Talks in Buddhism.
The essence of who we really are.
Something we need to work hard towards.
Something we can rest back into.
Remember.
Less about striving.
And more about remembering.
All the systems of the body.
Work through equanimity.
The cells of the body.
They know equanimity.
It's moving through us.
Like a river.
Offering our practice space to remembering.
What is already within us.
Maybe some of the obstacles.
Can soften.
The obstacles that maybe sometimes cause us to forget.
Enjoy your practice.
Sometimes mid-practice.
Notice that.
My body's tensed up again.
These old patterns.
Of tension.
Come back to them.
So if you find that.
And just wriggle around a little bit,
Remind yourself to soften Reorient yourself towards ground.
And being held.
Coming back.
To what's already.
Inherently here.
Your own essence.
Loving kindness.
And compassion.
And.
.
.
The joy of witnessing.
The joy in others.
And equanimity.
Maybe it's quite interesting where the mind has carried you to.
And what the landscape of the inner world feels like.
Is there a.
.
.
Current or a pace that you recognize.
Attention.
That's not ready to leave.
What did you find in the silence?
Allowing the breath to deepen and making contact again with ground.
Maybe some movement.
As we offer the fruits of our practice to ourselves.
To each other and to all beings.
And best day.
