So just sit quietly and relax your body and in today's meditation we're going to focus on being happy inside out.
Most of our happiness is more stimulation from outside in.
Whereas real happiness,
Real joy,
Which can be sustained,
Is always inside out.
Happiness is a feeling and all my feelings are connected to my thoughts.
So today let my thinking be such that I create a feeling of happiness naturally and easily.
So as I sit quietly I reflect inwards and I dive below the thoughts that are in my mind currently.
I take a few moments to go deeper,
Deeper into my being.
I allow myself to connect with that inner space within me.
A place at the very core of my being that is unpolluted,
That has not been affected by my journey in life.
I go to this very core of the self because here lie some of my very basic and most pure feelings.
Here there is peace.
There is stillness and silence.
And as I reconnect with these feelings that are calm and peaceful,
They give me the choice of either connecting also to happiness,
To joy,
Or connecting to restlessness,
To sadness,
To pain in my mind.
So I ask myself,
What thoughts can I create to generate my own inner happiness,
My own inner positivity?
Even though the world is in crisis,
Even though there is so much going on,
I can still choose to respond in an optimistic way.
I can still choose to see the benefit in everything that passes,
To appreciate the learning for myself and others.
I can still look for the silver lining on every cloud,
Even in the darkest moments of my life.
Sometimes when I lose something,
It is then that I begin to appreciate its value and remember that life is very fragile.
Relationships are very fragile.
And it is so important to keep maintaining goodness and positivity in my life by reprogramming my mind to create joyful thoughts,
Positive thoughts,
Beneficial thoughts for myself and for others.
So I pick up one thought of joy.
Perhaps it is just a thought to do with my own inner self,
The realization that I can be happy,
I can be at peace internally,
I can be strong and radiate that positivity no matter what else is happening on the outside.
I can still choose goodness in every moment,
In every breath.
Happiness is a choice.
Every happy thought leads to a happy feeling.
And it just takes a little bit of attention to keep creating these thoughts.
And in time,
They become our thinking patterns,
Our habits.
And arise naturally.
So happy thoughts are the seed to creating happiness within,
Creating wellness in my being.
Let me hold any thought of positivity,
Of joy or of happiness in my mind now and feel that same inner goodness.
