The Hall Of Light Meditation

This qigong meditation works with the Third Eye or Upper Dantian. This practice also connects the Third or Wisdom Eye with the pineal gland, which is seen in many traditions as being the home of psychic perception.

Hello, My name is Sola Lactaula and I'm here to lead you all in a Qigong meditation. Called the Hall of Light. Where we will be working in our third eye center. In the human body, According to Taoist tradition, We have three Dantian. Dantian means field of medicine or field of elixir. One in her lower abdomen, Behind her navel. One in our heart center, And another in our third eye center. And that's where we'll be focusing for the most part today. We'll also be working with a tiny gland in the middle of our brain called the pineal gland. Which in many, Especially Eastern traditions, Is associated with psychic perception, Psychic understanding, Psychic even experience. So to begin. We'll focus just for a few minutes on our lower dantian, Just to kind of get our body and our energy fields aligned. And as usual, Our eyes will be closed so that we can see with our inner eye more clearly. Breathing in and out of our nose, Tip of the tongue to the roof of the mouth. So let's just do nine deep, Slow, And gentle breaths, And focusing our breath on our lower dantian. Now we're going to bring our attention up. Through the middle part of our body and all the way up to our third eye, Our wisdom eye. We will also be. . . Sending some attention and hooking up this pineal gland straight from the middle of our brain, Straight to our third eye, Between our eyebrows and an inch or two inside of our skull. So let's just focus on that area for nine more deep, Slow, Gentle breaths. And in Qigong, We have the saying that where the mind goes, The qi flows. So by putting our attention and intention on this very powerful center, Energy center of our body, Things will start to change. We will have a new experience, As you will see in a few minutes. So, Nine deep breaths. And as you breathe this way, Experience, Feel, See. Your third eye opening like a flower, Like a beautiful sunflower. And feel the depth of this point by sending your attention also deep into your brain to your pineal gland. And energetically hooking your pineal gland up with your third eye. And as you inhale, Breathe golden light, Environmental qi, Qi from the sun, The moon, The stars. Breathing that light straight into your Tien Mu, Your third eye, And feel it opening up even more, And feeling the connection between your third eye and your pineal gland even stronger. And then as you exhale, Send a red or crimson light. From your third eye out into the world. Send this red light… out into the darkness of your spiritual ignorance, Lighting the way for you to reach deeper understanding and insight. Insight. So we breathe in golden light, We exhale red light. Kind of lighting up the whole world before us like a spiritual energetic flashlight. Now this place that you are entering. The inner palace or the hall of light. Is where deep transformation happens. It is where deep healing of the mind and heart happens. It is where you may be gifted with inner vision. And psychic perception. So let's just focus a few more minutes with this. Golden light coming in, Red light going out. Lighting up the way, All the places that we have been wishing we could understand better, That we could see better. Problems in our mind and psyche are illuminated. And as they are illuminated, They are also healed. You may get some sudden insights into problems or issues you've been dealing with. You may get some inner knowing that was not available to you before. You may receive some guidance from your higher self, Your guiding spirits, Or the Tao itself. You may see lights or colors or other visions. Enjoy them, But do not hold on to them. You may see colored lights swirling through your inner sight. These are all images. And points to show us that we are indeed connecting our inner vision. With the whole inner world of Tao. Inner light, The healing light. Take your time with this kind of practice. Remember, Manzo, Go slowly. And this is just a short introduction to this practice, But you can carry it forth into your own practice and spend more time with this. And as we end our practice, We want to bring our focus back down to our lower dantian again. We don't want to leave too much chi, Too much things going on in our head, Which might get in the way of our sleeping. So especially at night if you're doing this practice in the evening. Focus back down to the lower dantian again. And do those nine deep, Slow, Gentle breaths. And if you feel a little dizzy or fuzzy kind of energy in your head, Focusing on your lower dantian doesn't take care of that. You can also bring your chi focus all the way down to the bottom of your feet. You can even massage the bottom of your feet. To really ground your energy back down the lower part of your body. And then to end the meditation, We bring our palms together in front of our heart and rub them briskly together 36 times. And then place your palms over your eyes and breathe the warmth of your Lao Gong. There's an energy point in the center of your palms called the Lao Gong. And by rubbing them together, We have activated these points. So that inhale the warmth into your eyes, Into your eyeballs. And again, Into the center of your brain, To your pineal gland. Bathing it. Warm healing chi of your Lao Gong. Into this whole area of your body and being. And then rub your palms up and down your face very gently a few times to bring yourself out of the. . .
