Understanding our mind-body connection is essential to leading a balanced and healthy life and also to maintaining a nourishing yet flexible environment both inside and outside of us.
In today's practice,
We are going to embrace this mind-body connection by simply being in touch with the steady healing energy flowing within us.
Welcome.
Let's begin with following the breath in and out of our body.
Become aware of your breath and let it flow in a natural state.
Do not need to be intentional about its depth or its rate.
Just allow your breath to move freely.
And let all the tension be washed away with each breath.
Notice that your whole body starts to relax as you focus on your breath and your sense of being.
You have chosen to be here.
You are here and there is no resistance to this moment.
There is no struggle.
Just a calm acceptance of an appreciation for your breath and the present moment.
Your life and all that fuels it.
Each and every cell in our body is a universe in of itself.
It is always expanding and growing and transforming and giving us the gift of life.
Your body knows exactly what you want and instinctually gives you that all the time.
You do not have to ask for it to be given and often your conscious mind does not even register all that unfolds within your body.
It is truly a miracle.
A miracle that is happening within you every single day and every single second continuously.
You do not have to intend this miracle.
You do not have to force this miracle.
This miracle simply aids without any questions asked.
Your desire and will to live and explore your life,
Your consciousness.
Observe through your consciousness what your body has to say now.
Turn your attention inwards and softly guide your mind to your heart center.
Be quiet now and listen.
Feel the warmth of the blood pumping through you and touching and nourishing and healing each and every part of you.
Let us affirm a few sentences now as you sit with the sensation of nurturing warmth.
And what I would like you to do is acknowledge the emotions that each sentence evokes in you.
Challenge them and let them be with you for a while before you release them in acceptance and gratitude and move on to the next feeling.
Let this whole process resonate deep within your feeling state.
Observe how your body reacts to these thoughts and if you sense any uneasiness just send some loving attention to that sensation.
I am honoring myself right now.
I am honoring the perfect mind-body connection within me.
My breath goes in and out and it washes away any lingering resistance.
I go within myself now and connect with that part of me which knows how to heal effortlessly.
Active source energy flows through me and I channel this energy to do amazing and incredible things.
Healing myself is simply one of them.
Healing myself comes naturally to me.
Paying attention to my body is easy and effortless.
I have called upon my connection to the source energy to revitalize this instrument to my life.
My body.
And so the healing has been done.
I am healed.
I am nourished.
I am supported.
I am in tune with my inner being.
I am here with myself and that is enough.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and whenever you feel ready,
Open your eyes and exhale.
You both,
Body and mind,
Are giving yourself the best every day.
You're always walking towards balance,
Towards health and towards fulfillment.
Just allow yourself to accept and be grateful for it.
And if you ever feel there to be a disconnection between the body and the mind,
Drop into your breath,
Follow its rhythm and listen to your body speak back to optimal health.
