Hello,
And welcome to today's guided meditation.
Today we will focus on Biblical affirmations for mental health.
Even as believers,
Many of us have seasons and times in our lives when we struggle.
Maybe you have struggled with fear,
Anxiety,
Or maybe even depression.
Through God's Word,
We are reminded that He loves us and He is with you.
Repeat these Biblical affirmations and with your whole heart,
Believe them.
Begin to find a comfortable seated or lying down position.
And with your eyes open or closed,
Let's begin to take the journey inward.
As you breathe,
Allow your legs and your arms to gently soften.
Notice the heaviness in your arms and your legs as you surrender to gravity,
Letting go of resisting,
Letting go mind,
Body,
And spirit.
And with your heart,
Begin to offer your presence to God.
With this heart-centered practice,
Begin to breathe gently and fully,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and slowly releasing the breath out through your mouth.
Inhale and exhale.
Continue to breathe as you meet God heart to heart,
Spirit to spirit,
And breath to breath.
Feel free to repeat these Biblical affirmations out loud or in the silence of your mind,
Or simply listen,
Allowing the scriptures and the affirmations to wash over you,
Saturating you from the inside out.
God is doing good work in me.
God is doing good work in me.
Philippians 1.
6,
Being confident of this,
That he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
God is doing good work in me.
Breathe and receive God's truth for your life.
I surrender to God's love and power and I let go of all negative emotions of fear.
I surrender to God's love and power and I let go of all negative emotions of fear.
2 Timothy 1.
7,
For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
But of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I surrender to God's love and power and I let go of all negative emotions of fear.
Breathe and receive this truth.
I cast all my anxieties and worries to the Lord who loves and cares for me.
I cast all my anxieties and worries to the Lord who loves and cares for me.
1 Peter 5.
7,
Give all your worries and cares to God for he cares about you.
I cast all my anxieties and worries to the Lord who loves and cares for me.
Breathe and receive.
I will not worry about the future.
God knows his purpose for me and I know he will fulfill it.
I will not worry about the future.
God knows his purpose for me and I know he will fulfill it.
Jeremiah 29.
11,
For I know the plans I have for you,
Declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
Plans to give you hope and a future.
I will not worry about the future.
God knows his purpose for me and I know he will fulfill it.
Breathe knowing he will fulfill it.
Nothing can separate me from God's love.
Nothing can separate me from God's love.
Romans 8.
38-39,
For I am convinced that neither death nor life,
Neither angels or demons,
Neither the present or the future,
Nor any powers,
Neither height nor depth,
Nor anything else in all creation,
Will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate me from God's love.
Rest in God's love.
When I feel anxious,
I take refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ where I feel safe and protected.
When I feel anxious,
I take refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ where I feel safe and protected.
Psalms 91.
4,
He shall cover you with his feathers and under his wings you shall take refuge.
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
When I feel anxious,
I take refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ where I feel safe and protected.
Breathe and rest under his protection.
When I feel overwhelmed,
I cry out to God and find safety.
When I feel overwhelmed,
I cry out to God and find safety.
Psalms 61.
2,
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
When I feel overwhelmed,
I cry out to God and find safety.
Allow yourself to cry in God's safety.
Breathe.
I may have trouble in this world,
But in God I have peace,
For he has overcome the world.
I may have trouble in this world,
But in God I have peace,
For he has overcome the world.
John 16.
33,
I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble,
But take heart,
I have overcome the world.
I may have trouble in this world,
But in God I have peace,
For he has overcome the world.
Breathe and release your trouble in exchange for God's peace.
I make the Lord my focus,
And I place my trust in Him,
And He will embrace me in perfect peace.
I make the Lord my focus,
And I place my trust in Him,
And He will embrace me in perfect peace.
Isaiah 26.
3,
You will keep Him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on you,
Because He trusts in you.
I make the Lord my focus,
And I place my trust in Him,
And He will embrace me in perfect peace.
Breathe and receive that embrace of perfect peace.
I will remain strong and courageous during difficult times,
For Jesus Christ is with me wherever I go.
I will remain strong and courageous during difficult times,
For Jesus Christ is with me wherever I go.
Joshua 1.
9,
Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid.
Do not be discouraged,
For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
I will remain strong and courageous during difficult times,
For Jesus Christ is with me wherever I go.
Breathe,
Remembering that God is closer than a breath.
I am anxious for nothing.
I am anxious for nothing.
Philippians 4,
Verses 6-7,
Be anxious for nothing,
But in everything by prayer and supplication.
With thanksgiving,
Let your requests be made known to God,
And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I am anxious for nothing.
Believe as you breathe and receive.
Now,
For the next few moments,
Allow these Biblical affirmations to saturate your mind and gently take root in your heart.
Understanding the power of God's word is life-giving,
No matter what you're feeling.
In this truth,
Breathe as you believe.
