Welcome.
Today's meditation is based on the idea of self-study.
Who am I truly beneath the layers of who I believe myself to be?
Let's begin.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body where the body feels wholly and completely supported.
Can we let ourselves become quiet?
Finding stillness in the body.
Can we let the body settle into whatever it is that's holding us?
Can we let the body rest?
Let's bring our awareness to the breath,
Just watching the breath.
Letting the body breathe itself.
Observing the body breathing.
In this moment,
As we are the observers of our bodies,
We know I am.
Can we bring our awareness to any thoughts that might be circling in this moment?
Anything that we've brought to our meditation.
Simply observe them.
Allow them to be where they are.
And as we observe our thoughts,
It becomes clear that I am not my thoughts.
Through our lifetime,
We collect an idea of identity and belief.
We believe we know who we are without necessarily knowing who we are.
I'd invite you to ask yourself,
Who do I believe myself to be?
Often,
The words that come up when we ask ourselves these questions are parts of our identity.
Parts of ourselves that we have chosen or we have been told.
Who am I if not these things?
I'd invite you to imagine who you might be beneath the layers of identity.
Beneath our belief systems.
Beneath who we have been told we are.
Can we look so deeply beneath all of these layers until we reach the truth of who we are?
I am love.
I am truth.
I am presence.
Can we take a deep breath into the heart space?
I am love.
Blessings.
Namaste.
