This is Daily Magic for Peace.
Today we will send loving kindness to Ukraine.
Welcome to the circle.
So the only thing you need today is a quiet place.
Some place where you won't be disturbed for a few minutes while we sit together and send some loving kindness to Ukraine.
As we gather,
I invite you to take your seat in the circle,
Know that you are joined on the inner by everybody who is listening to this episode because our intention for this podcast is to create a circle.
So you are very welcome and I'm glad you're here.
And as you know,
One of the first things we do when we come together is something simple to calm and resource our nervous system.
Today we're gonna return to hugging.
And I invite you to do this to whatever degree feels comfortable to you,
Comfortable in your body,
Comfortable in the space you are physically in.
The idea is to put one arm around you and the other arm around you and to give yourself a big hug.
And if that is something that feels a little bit weird right now for you,
I invite you to imagine a hug.
Imagine a wonderful melting hug.
Imagine being hugged by and getting to hug somebody that you truly love and you feel 100% safe with.
And if you have your arms around your waist or around your body,
See if you can bring some loving energy into your touch.
So just enjoying that hug,
Really feeling into it,
Letting yourself drop into it.
You might even feel your nervous system kind of downshift and begin to rest a little bit.
And I invite you to take a breath.
And now you might notice your grounding.
Find the earth beneath you and find the sky above you.
Feeling up and down,
Down and up.
Finding yourself in between.
You are the bridge between heaven and earth.
And imagining balancing,
Finding your balance between heaven and earth,
Between earth and sky.
Finding that balance and maybe taking a deep breath in that space of balance.
Breathing in,
Letting that balance fill you and releasing.
Today we are going to experience sending loving kindness.
We're going to do this in a couple of different ways.
And the first way is that I invite you to bring to mind somebody who has shown you kindness.
This could be a person,
This could be an animal.
Just bringing to mind as clearly as you can this person or this animal who has shown you some kindness.
And we're going to say some phrases to this person.
I invite you to feel them in your heart as we say them.
May you be happy.
May you be safe.
May you be healthy.
May you be at ease.
And now maybe bringing a hand to your heart if that feels good to you.
We're going to send loving kindness to ourself now.
And imagine it like water flowing through every part of our body.
May I be happy.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy.
May I be at ease.
Allowing those words and those wishes to flow through your body.
Washing away tension.
Washing away pain.
May I be happy.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy.
May I be at ease.
Maybe noticing the meaning of these phrases.
And noticing any emotions arising or any physical sensations.
And now we're going to bring to mind the region which is lots and lots of people,
The region of Ukraine.
All of these,
All of these people.
May you be happy.
May you be safe.
May you be healthy.
May you be at ease.
Allowing the love in your heart to grow and flow.
May you be happy.
May you be safe.
May you be healthy.
May you be at ease.
And now offering these words to everyone everywhere.
May you be happy.

And allowing the love in your heart to grow and flow out to the whole world.

And just noticing how your heart feels.
And slowly reconnecting with your breath and your body.
Notice what you're sitting on.
Let your eyes have a soft focus as you look around the space you're in.
May it be so.
