Journey Into The Wild - Discovering The Tools You Have To Create Your Own Life
When we feel at our most lost in life, it is often because we are walking someone else's path and not the wild-hearted pioneers of our own journey. This is an experiential meditation (a sensing, feeling & emotional journey into wakeful presence) that takes you on a journey into the wilderness that is our life, and on the way you will re-remember the tools you already have to navigate your own life; intuition (sextant), heart (fire-lighter) and courage (blade). Thank you for listening, Sez.

Welcome,
Dear one,
To this experiential meditation series,
Seekless.
Today your search for direction will cease for just a moment and you will experience what it feels like to navigate your life by the light of your own inner star.
You have been lost in the wilderness for a while now,
Walking so long in this direction because others have done it before.
Others have scuffed away the rocks and broken the boughs so you may follow in their direction.
You can see a clearing to where this road you walk ends.
You can see moonlight dripping through the leaves and pooling into a space where all our paths join.
You can see yourself standing there at the end of your travels.
Looking back to where you stand here today,
What would you tell yourself?
What would you whisper back through the willow tree or howl over the horizon so you may hear your wild heart's call?
It is the same message you hear in the night's unrest.
To step off the well-paved,
Well-lit,
Well-worn and weary track that you have found yourself upon and venture out to where the wildflowers grow,
To where you can feel your way through the saplings and ancient oaks.
To where freedom furls itself among the slow-growing ferns.
Let us trail off this path now and,
Do not fear,
I will show you what you have been carrying all these years in the creases of your pockets and under the insole of your shoe.
Let me dust off the sex tent,
The fire-lider and the blade.
These are the tools you need to navigate your own life with.
These will tell you which road you need to take,
Which mountains pass to slip through and which side of the lake to cross during winter.
It will not take much to find your way again,
To gather the trust within yourself.
To remember your wild,
To lup,
Shear and strip through all that keeps you confused.
You can choose to be lost in the wild,
To walk another's path where you can become a part of it and learn to navigate it yourself.
It just takes a little remembering,
A sharpening of the tools you already have,
And a little stillness to pick up the scent of yourself again.
You are here,
Dear soul,
In this unknown wilderness we call life.
And you can never really lose yourself,
Only briefly forget that you are already found.
The path of a handmade life,
Snakes and weaves,
In ways you cannot foresee the end to.
And in that frightening place of the unknown,
You will always be reminded to look deeply at where you are right now,
To see where the next foot is to be placed.
What keeps you lost in this life are the many distractions that lure you away from creating your own path and becoming the artisan to your own life.
It takes courage to step even one toe off the manicured road that is laid out for you.
But with every act you make based on intuition,
Every moment of stillness before you step,
Every brave expansion of a comfort zone,
You will gain the trust within yourself and with trust you un-lose yourself.
When you feel lost and crave some kind of direction,
Look no further than the habits that are keeping you in a state of wondering.
We often lose ourselves when we don't have time to simply be.
We lose ourselves when we don't prioritize our creative work.
And we lose ourselves deeply in the humdrum of predictable routine.
These are the hungry wolves that trail you,
The habits that keep you in lostness.
Know that the Northern Star is unconditionally guiding you.
So too is the moss upon the tree,
The moon phase and the sun's gaze.
It just takes a moment of stillness to look up,
To walk slow,
To breathe in wakeful presence.
Take less direction from others,
From man-made lights and wristwatches,
And look inward towards your own wild knowing.
Let us take a moment now to connect to our intuitive powers within,
Through a self-enquiry meditation.
You may close your eyes now and arrive within your body.
This is the familiar moment you know well,
Where you are asked to become still,
To allow breath to lead you into remembrance of your presence here.
Breathe yourself here.
Take all the pieces of you into this moment.
Soften the edges of thought,
The mind and all its matter.
Let thought lightly rest in you,
Not pushing away but softening their edges,
Dampening them with breath.
Feel what it is like to be in your body right now,
Where there's aches and pain,
Any discomforts.
Breathe into these physical parts that are holding tightness.
Breathe into them with awareness and with kindness.
Welcome yourself home now by briefly holding your hand over your heart in recognition of your return.
You might like to place your palms upward upon your thighs now,
In an open and receiving manner.
Open up your chest a little more toward the sky,
Tilt your face up and uncurl your spine.
Information lies within your being as a sharper to spirit.
To be guided is to connect with your own unique inner guide who knows you like no other.
You can sometimes sense intuitive responses in your upper belly or around your heart.
Listen to the following questions and sense where the answer comes from.
Allow yourself to rest within each of the questions,
Taking a few breaths to become fully present with them.
If there is any tightness in your body,
While the mind jumps in to analyze the question,
It is usually the ego dominating a reaction.
But if there is a feeling of opening,
Of softening,
Of allowing,
Or a calm silence,
That is your intuition responding.
What temperature do I feel in this room right now?
Is it cold?
Too warm?
Or comfortable?
Where lies tiredness within my body?
Am I satisfied right now?
Am I living my own version of life?
What are the changes I know I need to make?
What part of me is asking for kindness?
Who can give me what I need most?
What is it I need most?
The more you ask yourself the deeper questions to life in this space of awareness,
The more you will hear,
Sense,
And be guided emotionally to the answers that will transform your life.
Place a hand upon the area where you felt your body responding intuitively.
This is the area to which you place your trust.
This is where your knowingness,
Your remembrance,
And your in-accompass reside.
Breathe into this space.
Live here for a moment with an awareness to the power that lies but an inch inward.
Let us end with a few final deep breaths,
Encompassing all of yourself into this place of trust.
Give yourself over to it,
All you seek,
All you desire,
All the destinations you have in mind for yourself.
Give it to this unique navigation system and allow it to recalibrate you.
You may open your eyes now.
Intuition can only ever be felt in the present moment.
It uses the past to gauge a prediction for the future,
Knowing you and all your nuances,
So it is the most trustful source of knowing you have within your power.
Take time to trust in yourself daily.
Make small,
Intuitive decisions.
And if ever in doubt,
Follow your heart.
What you love will always guide you.
The heart will guide you ultimately through life when you feel your most lost.
It will always be in the wilderness,
But it is in the untaming and unleashing of our hearts that we begin to truly find ourselves again.
If you follow your heart,
The firelighter rolled up your sleeve,
And you act with courage,
The blade hidden in your boot,
And you trust your intuition,
The sextant in your pocket,
Then you begin to create your own path.
When you can never find yourself lost on again,
Let the rest of life unfold daily before you and be liberated by this unknowingness.
Thank you for being here with me.
May your wild heart lead you onwards in courage and in kindness.
