Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth and begin to relax your entire body.
With each breath in,

And with each breath out,
Feel your shoulders gently soften.
Now bring to mind a recent moment where you reacted quickly.
A message,
A decision,
A response where you didn't have time to think it through.
Take another slow breath in and as you exhale,
Imagine the same moment,
But this time there is a pause before anything happens.
A small gap.
Notice how that gap feels.
It may feel quiet.
It may feel neutral or unpressured.
Now imagine extending that gap just slightly longer.
In this space,
You're not reacting.
You're choosing.
Take another deep breath.
Now imagine placing a simple filter inside that pause before responding.
Ask yourself,
Is this necessary?
Is this clear?
Is this calm?
Notice how this simple filter changes the outcome.
Perhaps it feels less urgent.
Perhaps you feel more control.
Maybe you feel a little more clear.
