This is a guided meditation for a creative new year.
Find a place where you can relax,
Or at least be as comfortable as you can during this meditation.
You can close your eyes or just be aware of your surroundings and tune in to your body.
Tune into how you feel right now.
Bringing all your awareness into this moment.
Let your body sink into the surface.
Feeling grounded,
Feeling safe and protected.
And just breathe consciously here.
It's all okay.
Any thoughts,
Any feelings,
Any emotions.
Take a step back and become an observer of everything.
Take a moment now to think of some ways you would like to be creative in this new year.
Accept whatever comes up as you continue to imagine ways of being creative.
And think about what that would feel like.
And as you think about this,
Notice anything that comes up,
Including any resistance,
Any blockages.
It's easy to become blocked creatively when we experience different kinds of trauma.
Send love and gratitude to anything that shows up,
To any of the trauma that comes up.
Imagine this trauma or anything else that shows up for you as being transmuted,
Transcended.
Meditate on a few small things you can do every day to help overcome any trauma,
Any blockages.
In your mind's eye,
See yourself creating a plan.
A plan of action,
Of taking these small simple steps every day.
Pay attention.
Everything that's showing up for you now is transforming into something new.
Feel a release of creative energy flowing now.
In and out.
Imagine that you're at the end of the year and you've really worked hard on a lot of creative projects.
You've worked past any procrastination and you've been able to be really creative.
Now just think and imagine what that feels like and what that looks like.
Just remember this feeling,
This sense of accomplishment.
And remember that each small step is an investment towards this feeling.
And now begin to bring that feeling into the here and now,
Into the present moment.
And then to finally end,
Take a deep inhale,
Hold it for a moment.
And as you exhale,
You can stretch your body and open your eyes.
