Welcome.
I'm so grateful to be together.
It's natural in our lives that at times we face uncertainty.
At times we experience challenges.
And yet sometimes we just need a loving reminder that although the path may not seem clear now,
We will find our way.
Things will work out one way or another.
A loving reminder that we have experienced challenges before and we have found our way through them,
Whether that was through skill or acceptance or time.
So today we will have a practice to remind ourselves that we will find a way,
That it is okay.
Even if we can say it's okay for just a moment,
It can help to unwind this deeper tension inside.
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position if possible.
Of course,
You're welcome to take a position lying down if that's more comfortable for you.
Let's roll the shoulders up and back a few times.
Relax them down.
You may wish to have the hands on the knees or the lap with the palms facing upward.
Let's take a full deep breath in together.
Exhale,
Close the eyes if that's comfortable.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale,
Feel the body relaxing.
Again,
Inhale deeply.
Exhale,
Feel the body becoming heavier,
Settling into the support beneath you.
Continue to breathe in a way that welcomes a softening,
A letting go in the body.
You might find that having the exhalation a little longer than the inhalation supports this.
Allow a slight space between the teeth so the jaw and the throat can soften.
The shoulders drop down.
The belly softens.
Repeating affirmations has the ability to retrain the mind and even rewire the brain.
As you gently repeat these affirmations to yourself,
Either silently or out loud,
I invite you to welcome or even conjure the feeling of what it would be like to believe each affirmation or even know it as truth.
It's okay if it sounds foreign or even unbelievable at first.
I invite you to welcome the possibility of this affirmation being true.
Everything is unfolding as it needs to.
I am safe in this moment.
I am held even when I cannot see the path.
It's okay to not have all of the answers right now.
Life is guiding me even in the unknown.
I trust that things are working out for me.
I soften into this moment.
I release the need to control everything.
I allow everything to support me.
Even what I'm experiencing now will pass.
Even this is part of my becoming.
I am growing through what I am experiencing.
I breathe in calm.
I breathe out tension.
I allow my body to relax.
There is nothing I need to force.
What is meant for me will find me.
I am allowed to take things one step at a time to trust again.
Everything is being worked out behind the scenes.
Even when I don't understand,
Something deeper does.
I am supported in ways I cannot yet see.
I choose to believe in possibility.
I choose to believe in goodness.
I choose to believe that the universe is kind.
I am guided.
Life is not against me.
It is for me.
Life is not happening to me.
Life is happening for me.
I can handle this moment.
I can handle what comes next.
I have made it through so much already.
Peace is available to me right now.
I return to my breath.
I return to myself.
Everything will be okay.
Maybe not exactly how I imagined it,
But in a way that is right.
In a way that supports my growth and my heart.
I trust the timing of my life.
I trust where I am.
I trust where I am going.
I soften.
Everything is okay.
Everything is unfolding.
Everything will be okay.
You may wish to slowly bring your hands to your heart center and hold your chest.
Breathe deeply into this space of the heart.
Once again,
Gently repeat to yourself,
Everything will be okay.
Let's take one more full deep breath in and out together.
When you feel ready to,
Release the hands.
Maybe roll through the shoulders.
Gently move the head and neck or any part of the body that it feels nourishing to move.
As you are ready,
Slowly open the eyes.
