Your body extols the answers to your life.
You were right all along.
The feeling that something wasn't aligned in your life was real.
A quiet but constant voice inside you cannot be silenced.
A kind of wisdom that you cannot describe is deep knowledge you cannot ignore.
We may hear this voice from time to time,
Hoping that it will just go away.
But the voice will keep coming back to remind us that the path is not built yet,
That the ground we're standing on lacks a sense of home,
Of safety.
This voice is your intuition.
Soft,
Yet powerful,
Often represented by a quiet and grounded feeling in your gut or pelvis area.
The fear-based mind often pulls you away from this.
Do not berate your mind as it is only trying to protect us.
So,
Whilst I've got you here,
Please get comfortable and close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Know that you are sitting between heaven and earth.
You are safe.
Now,
Let's take a deep breath together.
So,
Exhale.
And inhale for four.
And exhale for six.
Inhale for four.
And exhale for six.
Now continue for a few more rounds on your own.
Now let go of any breathing and then just return to your natural breath.
Feel the top of your head,
Your neck area,
Shoulders.
Feel the heaviness of your arms.
The aliveness in your hands.
Any tingling sensations.
Your upper back,
Mid-back and lower back.
Notice when you make contact with a chair or cushion.
The volume of your legs.
Your feet.
And then just feel your entire body in space.
Now bring your attention to your ears and listen to the worlds around you.
Listen to the sounds.
To the spaces in between the sounds.
No need to label them.
Just simply open your mind and let the sounds come and go.
Feel as if your mind is the entire universe and the sounds are the stars and galaxies.
They will never disappear,
Yet they're part of the same cosmos.
They might come and go,
Move around.
But they're all part of one space and time.
Whenever your mind gets pulled by a thought,
Just gently release it and come back to the hearing and the space between your ears.
Learn to listen,
My friend.
Your fear is loud and urgent.
Your intuition is quiet and steady.
You don't have to listen to the loudest voice in the room.
Simply return to your breath.
Return to your ears.
And widen the circles.
Sri Nisargadatta writes,
The real world is beyond thoughts and ideas.
We see it through the net of our desires divided into pleasure and pain,
Right or wrong,
Inner and outer.
To see the universe as it is,
You must step beyond the net.
And it's not hard to do so,
For the net is full of holes.
Now gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
And slowly open your eyes.
Remember to come back to listening.
Your intuition never lies.
Get quiet and learn to trust it.
