This is an updated version of an earlier track - Simply Be - in response to a lot of feedback from users. It is still a short mindful break, which can be used to reset during the day, as an introduction to a morning or evening routine, or as the beginning of a much longer unguided meditation (for which reason, I have removed the bell at the end).

Hello and welcome to this updated version of Simply Be for 2019.

You might want to start by sitting in a grounded meditation position,

Your feet on the floor,

Your hands on your lap,

Your back upright in a position of dignity,

And your hands resting on your lap.

And you may want to take one or two deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply into the belly and exhaling deeply,

Before allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm,

And gently allowing your eyes to close.

Take a moment,

Without agenda,

Without expectations,

Without thoughts of the past,

Without concerns for the future,

Take a moment to simply be.

Take a moment to notice your body,

To notice sensations that you feel on your skin and inside your body.

Take a moment to simply be.

Take a moment to notice your breath,

To follow it inside your body and out.

Take a moment to simply be.

Take a moment to recognise that right here,

Right now,

You have everything you need.

You have no obligations,

No commitments,

Nothing that you need to do,

Other than to simply be.

Take a moment to recognise that this is always true.

It is always the case that you can stop,

Breathe,

Close your eyes and simply be.

Take a moment to be grateful to yourself for allowing you this moment of clarity,

Of peace,

Of presence.

Take a moment to rejoice that you can simply be.

There will be no ending bell,

No closing thoughts.

Take as long as you need.

Take as much time as you feel you deserve,

As you feel you want.

Take time to simply be.
