So you're just coming away from the situation you're in at work.
You're taking a moment to reset,
To rebalance with me.
So let's straight away remember that work can be a really stressful environment and it can be a really stressful situation because not only do we have the pressures of things like finances and the reason why we're even going to work but also we usually have those social interactions and we also have maybe the fears and the worries about how well we're performing or not performing or what people are going to think of us.
So it's like this big concoction of an area of our life and an environment that can really bring up a lot of stress.
So let's validate the feeling.
Let's say it's okay that I've got a bit overwhelmed right now.
It's okay that I'm feeling really stressed right now.
But take in a breather,
Take in a pause.
And I want you to just come to a space where you ask yourself is this really as big a deal or as bad as I'm feeling it is?
Because sometimes work stress can actually almost feel like it's a life or death situation.
It can feel so overwhelming and so consuming that we almost come so far away from what it actually is.
And especially if other people are hyping it up to when other people are stressed it's almost like whoa,
Whoa,
Whoa,
Whoa,
Whoa.
Let's just come back to recognizing this is not life or death.
Very,
Very much more likely it is just a stressful situation and usually it's something that can and will be resolved.
Even if it takes a bit of time,
If it takes a bit of work,
Even if it's a little bit tricky.
This thing that's just got too stressful,
You're going to figure it out and it will be solved.
That will happen.
So see if you can lean into that.
See if you can take a breather here.
Remember that actually when we fast forward to maybe a week from now this thing that you're worrying about right now,
Will it really matter?
And if the answer is yes,
Well will it matter from two weeks from now?
Will it matter a month from now?
Will it matter a year from now?
Can you feel how in your body you start to realign Can you feel how in your body you start to realign and you start to realize that maybe I've got too consumed in it and maybe I'm not seeing the bigger picture.
Take another breather,
Take another pause,
See if you can go back out when you're ready with a new perspective.
You're simply there to problem solve,
To figure it out,
Allow it to work out rather than to feel as though it's all consuming.
