Welcome to this morning meditation for when you need better boundaries.
I'm Sara Senecroce and I'll be your guide today.
If you find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no,
Or feeling drained from giving too much,
This meditation is here to help you prioritize yourself and set gentle but firm boundaries.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position.
Whether you're seated or lying down,
Just listen to what your body needs today.
And then gently close your eyes if that feels safe.
Now take a deep breath in.
Breathe in a sense of self-worth and the courage to honor your needs.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any guilt or pressure to please others.
And now just let your breath settle into its own natural rhythm as if each inhale fills you with strength and each exhale releases the weight of others' expectations.
And now bring your awareness to your body.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Steady,
Supportive,
And there for you,
Just as you should be there for yourself.
Notice any areas where you may feel tension,
Maybe your shoulders or your chest,
Where the weight of saying yes too often might sit.
In this moment,
Remind yourself that it's okay to prioritize your own well-being.
You are not selfish for doing it.
You are honoring your energy.
As you keep breathing,
Bring your attention now to your heart space.
Physical pleasing can sometimes leave this area feeling tight or heavy,
Like you're carrying the weight of others' needs.
With every inhale,
Fill your heart with a sense of self-compassion and respect for your own boundaries.
And as you exhale,
Release any feeling of obligation that isn't serving you.
You deserve the space to care for yourself,
To say no when it's needed,
And to show up for your own needs first.
It's easy to fall into the pattern of over-giving,
Believing that it's our role to keep others happy or to solve their problems.
The truth is,
Your energy is precious and you have the right to protect it.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling yourself with a sense of empowerment,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any fear of disappointing others.
Remember that boundaries are an act of love,
Both for yourself and for those around you.
Now imagine a gentle,
Golden light surrounding your entire body,
Forming a soft but strong protective boundary.
This light is your own energy and it stays with you,
Protecting your space and keeping you grounded.
With every inhale,
Feel this light growing stronger,
And with every exhale,
Let go of anything that doesn't belong to you.
You have the right to decide what comes into your space and what doesn't.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling yourself with the intention to show up for yourself today.
You are in control of your energy and you can protect it without guilt or fear.
Boundaries are not walls,
They are invitations for others to respect you and for you to honor your own needs.
With each breath,
Remind yourself that you deserve the time,
Space and energy to nurture your own well-being.
Trust that when you protect your energy,
You can actually show up more fully for yourself and those you care about.
Take one more deep breath in,
Bringing the energy of self-respect and courage,
And as you exhale,
Feel your boundaries strengthening,
Your energy returning to you,
And a sense of calm and peace filling your entire being.
And now,
When you are ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And know that you carry the strength and clarity with you as you move through your day.
You have the power to choose what serves you and to set boundaries that honor your well-being.
Take one final deep breath,
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
