Welcome to this meditation to honor rest and really remember its power.

I'm Sarasenna Croce and I'll be your guide today.

Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

Your hands resting gently on your lap or at your sides.

And if it feels safe,

You can gently close your eyes now.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Feeling your lungs expand fully.

Hold it for a moment.

And now exhale slowly through your mouth,

Letting go of any tension or stress that's lingering in your body.

Take another deep breath in and this time breathe in softness and surrender.

Hold it gently.

And as you exhale,

Let your body begin to sink into stillness.

Let your breath become smooth,

Spacious and natural.

No rush.

No force.

Just being.

Now bring your attention inward.

Relax your scalp and your temples.

Soften your jaw.

Let your shoulders drop.

Your spine loosen.

And your hands become warm and heavy.

Breathe into your chest,

Your belly,

Your hips.

And let your legs fully rest,

Supported by the earth.

Allow your whole body to melt into the present.

Rest is not laziness,

It's remembrance,

It's repair,

It is resilience.

Whisper gently to yourself,

My worth isn't tied to doing.

I grow in the pause.

Rest is sacred.

Rest is revolutionary.

Notice how your breath has deepened,

How your mind has softened,

How your energy has shifted slowly,

Gently,

Back towards yourself.

Let's just rest here for another few seconds.

Nothing to do.

Nowhere to go.

Just this.

Just now.

And now begin to return,

With care.

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes.

And may you carry this rest with you,

Not just today but into the way you live,

Lead and work.

Namaste.
