Welcome to Day 6 of Insight Timer's Reset and Refresh Challenge.
Your call to break free from the ordinary,
Let go of what's been holding you back,
And step into your life with a fresh perspective.
Let's jump into today's session.
It's likely we'll never know the meaning of life.
It is a mystery,
And this to me means one thing.
Do with it what you wish for in the world.
What do you have to lose but joy?
Leave everything that stands before you better off because it passed by you.
Your life is ultimately a blank canvas,
And your survival is your art.
Your discomfort is your brush.
Your conflicts and pain,
If welcomed and embraced,
Are the bestower of resilience.
Fear is the gatekeeper of your trust and your fearlessness.
If we treat our existence as something we actively participate in,
Our life becomes art.
Just imagine you could move through life in celebration and ease,
Trusting everything as your guide,
Wearing away the resistance,
Until all that's left of us is light and a colorful spattering of delight.
If we are honest,
I think we would admit that we recognize our lives to be a gift,
A very mysterious one that we don't understand,
But we feel in some way we're working to say yes to it,
To receive it,
To say yes to all of it,
To the messy,
The profane,
And the miraculous.
We're working to say yes to our part in the divine play.
My understanding is life has asked this from me from the beginning.
Here is this gift,
This sometimes scary,
Confusing,
Wonderful mix of things.
Do you accept it?
Will you say yes?
Yes means taking in our experiences with warmth and admiration and wonder,
Even the gristle.
Yes means taking everything by the hand and listening for what's hidden inside of it.
Tears hide love.
Hate hides love.
Violence,
Though misguidedly,
Protects love.
Fear shields love.
Love is somewhere inside everything.
Finding our sincere yes requires courage and effort.
In order to be carried by life,
To say yes to our life,
We need our childlike curiosity and our willingness to accept it.
We had this yes at the onset.
This is the joy we were given at birth.
So I invite you to close your eyes and just allow yourself to experience and open to the quiet world of your body again by coming in through the nostrils,
Down through the throat,
Into the heart.
Exhaling out through the heart.
Inhaling through the tip of the nostril,
Feeling the cold.
Down through the throat,
Into the chest,
Out through the heart.
Just sit quietly resting in yourself,
Opening the door to your body.
This is called receiving who you are.
Receiving who I am.
All it is is a simple gathering of my awareness at one point.
We notice the blood in us moving,
The breath rhythmic,
Abiding,
And steadfast.
And we notice the subtle reconciliation and accord that swells in us turning toward and contacting my liveliness in this way.
This rest in my body in this sanctuary is what I need to know.
This ordinary breathing self flushed with pleasure.
This unconditional life moving effortlessly through me.
This love is what life has gifted me.
I did nothing to earn this,
It's simply a gift.
It is life that has been given to us and in return it asks for one thing.
A full-bodied yes.
So repeating after me just quietly in your head or out loud as a whisper.
I receive this life offering by looking at it and saying yes.
Yes,
I see this gift clearly.
Yes,
I choose to live aware of this gift.
Yes,
I choose to hold this life of mine with reverence and care,
Full of care.
Yes,
I accept this life of mine as a gift.
When we say yes,
What actually starts to happen is we start to belong to ourselves and our life belongs to us.
When we arrive inside knowing we see the gift and that we say yes,
The way we are in conversation with it begins to change.
Breathing in,
I receive this life as a gift.
Yes,
I am here and I care.
I bring in all my light I could possibly do by loving everyone.
So love,
Love,
Love.
Taking a deep inhale and exhale and opening your eyes in this room,
In this body,
In this beautiful life.
Wonderful job today.
I just want to emphasize that saying yes is part of the process of life and continues to be part of the process of life.
For me,
It's been a continued effort in remembering how to say yes,
In feeling the fear and finding the smile,
The willingness,
Inside even the most difficult places in my life.
Every day I continue to work through my no in order to say yes.
So remember this,
It is a process.
It is continued effort.
And it's always,
Always for the good.
When one person finds their yes for life,
Even the hard bits,
Even the challenging bits,
The energy begins to flow through our bodies,
Through our experiences.
There's no longer walls of friction and fear to ram up against.
So when one person finds their yes,
Their fluidity,
The organism of life begins to flow a little differently.
Your single,
Seemingly small and insignificant efforts are actually a contribution to the greater good of the world.
The more we can find our yes,
The more we can find our hope,
Our resilience,
The voices of strength and love,
Beyond the resistance,
Beyond the noise.
So every day,
Let's continue to work on our full-bodied yes,
In the name of this earth,
In the name of one another,
In the name of hope and love.
So tomorrow I will join you here for our final day,
Where we will just be ending with a short blessing that will help us orient and pivot and land on a very intentional,
Loving way to show up in the world and hopefully have more of our love,
Our curiosity,
Our wonder,
Our childlike innocence online and resourced in our beings.
So I'll see you here tomorrow.
