Greetings friends,
And welcome to a journey of light and of colour.
I'll be describing each of the seven chakras,
The energy centres of the body,
But you do not need any previous experience of these to enjoy this meditation.
I'll talk through much of this meditation,
But leave a few peaceful minutes near the end.
But I will sound a bell chime when it is time to return from our meditation.
Yes,
I will.
You you you Letting the muscles the joints and the bone sink and settle Feel yourself supported by the earth beneath you.
You may even envisage that with each exhale you make.
We're just breathing out any tension any tightness anywhere you might be holding on to within the body.
Let the muscles soften and the limbs be heavy.
Let the back and the head relax and settle into the earth and release the little tiny muscles of the face.
In our minds eye we're going to take a little journey and envisage ourselves in a beautiful meadow at springtime.
Beneath us soft green grass that has been warmed by the sun supports us gently and warmly.
Above us a great blue sky sweeps from horizon to horizon.
Maybe we imagine that any little thoughts or distractions we have are little clouds in the sky and we'll just gently let them drift from our view so that we are left with a beautiful clear blue sky.
We allow all of our senses to bring us to this beautiful place.
We feel the grass beneath us.
Maybe the warmth of that beautiful bright springtime sun set somewhere up in the blue sky.
Maybe we feel the kiss of a warm breeze upon our cheeks.
Maybe we smell the grass beneath us or the scent of wildflowers on the breeze.
Maybe we hear the gentle sounds of grass rustling in the gentle breeze or of swaying trees or of dancing birds above us in the sky.
We allow yourself to use all of your senses to find yourself within this meadow,
Within this place of nature that is so calm and peaceful,
Warm and welcoming.
From this restful place perhaps you notice now a little more that surrounding you are great swathes of wildflowers in every colour of the rainbow.
They gently dance in the spring breeze,
Colours and scent whirling around you.
And as a slightly stronger gust of warm breeze whips through the air,
All at once petals and flowers are gently whisked into the air in a flurry of colour.
These petals and flowers dance around you and as the breeze stills the petals drift and some of them land upon you from your restful place upon the grass.
These petals are so soft and warm,
You feel joyful,
Maybe you even smile or laugh as these little kisses of colour find their homes resting upon you.
The first petal that has fallen upon you rests at the very top of your head.
It is a beautiful violet colour.
It might be a petal or a whole blossom that rests in your hair.
This little flower,
This little bloom represents the crown chakra.
The beautiful violet colour is a symbol of illumination and connection with the universe.
And this little bloom's gift to you is a message that you are connected to the energy of the universe.
And you feel this message gently soaking into the top of your head and your mind in a journey of light and colour and illumination.
The next little petal is a beautiful deep dark blue and it rests on your forehead just between your eyebrows at the home of the third eye chakra.
And this little petal or bloom's message to you is that your mind is open.
May you expand your awareness.
And you feel that energy of that beautiful deep blue colour and the light and the warmth sink into this little space between your eyebrows.
The next beautiful petals rest at the base of your neck where the collar bones meet and they are a beautiful vibrant turquoise colour.
These petals of turquoise represent the throat chakra,
Our place of communication,
Wisdom and truth.
And this little blossom that rests at your collar bones sends you blessings so that you may always be heard and that you may always be able to speak your truth.
The next petals are a beautiful bright green and they rest at the heart.
Our heart centre and our heart chakra rest in this beautiful green that mirrors the life around us,
The grass and the trees and the leaves.
Within the image of the flower of the heart chakra there lies two triangles,
One that points up towards the heavens and one that points down towards the earth.
Here in our heart space we find the meeting point between heaven and earth,
The centre of our being,
Our place of compassion and peace.
May you always attune to the frequency of love.
The next beautiful flower and petals rest just above your belly button and are such vibrant yellow they seem to reflect the light and sparkle of the sun.
This place of light is our solar plexus chakra,
Our home of energy,
Determination and enthusiasm,
Our own inner sunshine.
And as the rays of your inner sunshine shine out to meet the rays of the sun above you,
Perhaps in your mind's eye you say to yourself,
I am peaceful,
I am powerful,
I shine with the light of the sun.
The next beautiful blossoms that rest just below the belly button are a gorgeous warm orange.
This is our sacral chakra,
The home of our place of creative flow and joy.
This beautiful energy centre allows us to connect to the flow of life.
And the last beautiful flower that rests upon us is at the very bottom of the pelvis,
The very bottom of our spine,
Our root chakra,
Our connection with the earth,
Our place of stability and grounding,
Our connection to the earth and our ancestors.
And this beautiful wild flower as it glows this earthy red sends a message to you.
My roots support me,
I am grounded and I am safe.
And the light and energy of each of these beautiful flowers,
These beautiful petals that have found their home upon you bring warmth and light,
Comfort and inspiration as you allow yourself to bask in the sun,
In the light,
In the colour of these wild flower chakras.
