I welcome you to this practice.
My name is Saqib and through this meditation we will release our fear through focus.
Fear is a result of thoughts,
Not only conscious thoughts that come in our conscious mind but also unconscious thoughts and that's why at times we feel fear but we don't know the reason behind it because those thoughts are unconscious.
However focus can be a tool through which we can release fear.
So before we get into the practice let me tell you how we can do that.
There is a saying that where your attention goes your energy flows.
So because our attention is on those thoughts,
Those fearful thoughts,
We experience more fear in our body in the form of that emotion that troubles us.
But if we place our attention,
Our focus in the right place then gradually gradually those fears would release.
I understand that releasing fears in the long run requires deep work.
However this practice is more useful in situations where you don't have the opportunity to do deeper work and you want to release fears within a short period of time.
Think of fear as this darkness that surrounds our body but then if we can place our awareness on the light inside our body and this light is our solar plexus chakra which is located above the belly button or below the ribcage,
This light grows as you place your awareness there,
As you keep your focus there because our solar plexus is the center of our inner strength,
Of our inner courage.
So the more you place your awareness there the more this light grows and the way when the Sun rises darkness goes away similarly as this light of your solar plexus will become brighter and brighter as it will shine this darkness of fear around your body it will melt away.
So this is the idea behind this practice and without further ado let's get to it.
So allow yourself to get into a posture which is comfortable but also alert and make sure that your back is straight but not too stiff,
Relaxed at the same time and you can gradually close your eyes let your body relax,
Let your mind relax,
Become aware of your senses,
Sense of touch,
Taste,
Smell,
Sound and also notice how do you feel in this moment,
Just observe any motion that comes up and notice the energy around your body.
Now gently bring your awareness to your breath and breathe in and out of your solar plexus chakra.
As you breathe in channel your breath to the point above your belly button and as you do that let your awareness flow with the breath and now center your awareness at your solar plexus chakra.
Visualize that there is a ball of golden white light at your solar plexus,
Let your awareness be focused on this ball.
As you keep your awareness at this ball of light the intensity of the light is growing,
The light is spreading throughout your body,
The light is dissolving all fears from your body.
Feel your body relaxing into this light.
If at any point you find your awareness distracted,
Gently without any judgment bring your awareness back to this ball of light at your solar plexus.
As you keep your awareness at this ball the intensity of this light is increasing even further,
Now spreading out of your body dissolving any fears that are around your body.
Feel your whole body merging with this light and relaxing.
Feel your whole body developing the courage,
The inner strength radiating from the solar plexus.
Feel the courage of your soul,
Feel the strength of your spirit and then whenever you are ready gently allow yourself to come back.
You can wiggle your toes,
Move your fingers,
Take a deep breath and then in your own time you can come out of the practice and open your eyes.
Just for a few seconds notice how do you feel right now.
