Waiting game.
Find a comfortable position.
Let your body settle just as you are.
Close your eyes if it feels natural or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it go.
Let's take another breath deep in through the nose and let it go long and slow.
Again,
Inhale and exhale.
Letting your shoulders drop,
Your jaw joints unclench,
Your body soften.
And one more time.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now bring your awareness to this moment,
Not the moment ahead,
Not the moment behind,
Just this present moment.
You may notice thoughts about what's coming.
An outcome,
A result,
A decision,
A beginning or an ending.
Let those thoughts be here.
Don't fight them.
No need to analyze them or control them.
Let your breath,
Let thoughts come and go.
Now imagine placing these thoughts gently on a leaf and watching them float down a stream or running body of water.
No need to chase them,
To course correct them,
No need to hold them.
Just notice,
Watch and breathe.
Remind yourself that you're here in this present moment.
Feel your breath moving in your body,
Your chest rising,
Your belly softening.
Feel the stable ground beneath you.
At this moment there's nowhere to be,
Nothing to do.
Simply notice and be present with your breath and your body.
Waiting does not mean something is missing.
It means something is unfolding.
Let that land gently.
You don't have to solve what's next.
You don't have to prepare for every possibility.
Right now nothing is required of you except to be here in the now with this cycle of breath.
Notice if there is tension in your jaw,
Neck and shoulders,
In your chest,
Belly and back,
In your hips,
Down your legs.
And with your next exhale,
Soften just 10%.
Not all the way,
Just a little.
You're allowed to rest in this space right now,
Right here.
Quietly in your mind repeat,
I can be here while I wait.
I can trust what I cannot yet see.
I am held in this moment.
I am safe.
Let those words settle where they need to.
Reminding ourselves that life moves in cycles,
Arrivals and departures,
Beginnings and endings,
Certainty and the unknown.
And here you are,
Right in the now,
Simply breathing.
There's a quiet strength in this space,
A deep patience that doesn't force,
That doesn't rush.
Just for a moment,
Feel what it's like to not need or have all the answers,
To let life come to you instead of reaching for it.
Another slow breath in and a full breath out.
Trusting whatever unfolds,
You will meet it as it is.
Trusting that even now things are moving,
Aligning,
Resolving in ways you can't see or don't need to control.
And for now,
This moment is enough.
When you're ready,
Gently bring awareness back to your body,
Your surroundings.
Maybe wiggling fingers and toes and carry this with you.
I'm not stuck.
I'm in transition.
And at this moment,
I am okay.
