What ever the emotions may be, letting go of them may bring a loving smile or tears and yet it is something you should consider doing. I'm happy to help you to do that with this meditation. Hi,

This is Sampo.

I would like to take you to a guided meditation called The Art of Letting Go.

It's about letting go of everything and anything that you don't need anymore.

It's about releasing.

It's about creating space and harmony.

It's about preparing yourself for allowing new things to enter your life.

So please take a seat in your favorite location.

If you want to sit down in a lotus position,

That's fine,

But a normal chair will do just fine.

Please have your feet on the ground and allow your body to relax.

Allow your hands to be on your lap.

Freely,

Easily,

Without forcing,

Without trying.

Now please take a deep breath in and hold it.

Hold it.

Keep on holding.

Keep on holding.

Just a bit more.

And now let go.

Completely empty.

Take another deep breath in and let go.

Again,

Completely empty.

Please now allow your breath to take its own pace.

No trying.

No forcing.

Just being.

Just breathing.

Now imagine yourself on top of a beautiful mountain,

High above the clouds,

In a very beautiful scenery.

Feel the sun warming your skin.

And feel the wind moving your hair.

Now take a look around and enjoy this beautiful scenery.

And now allow your eyes to go around the mountaintop.

And noticing stairs,

Beginning from the top of the mountain and going down from the mountain.

The stairs are made of stone.

Very solid.

Very firm.

You start going down the stairs with very light steps.

Your feet barely touching the steps.

Going easily down.

Soon entering a beautiful white cloud area.

Going into the clouds.

Through the clouds.

Beautiful white clouds.

And soon coming below the clouds.

And a beautiful scenery opens up in front of your eyes.

A beautiful valley.

And the stairs continue to the bottom of the valley.

And you keep on going towards the valley.

Very light and easy steps.

Finally landing to the valley.

Beautiful valley.

Take a look around and notice a solid firm door with your name on it.

You start going towards the door and it opens up automatically before you.

Some light is coming out of the doorway and it's inviting you to step in into a room that somehow feels very familiar to you.

You allow your eyes to get used to a little bit dimmer room.

And soon you start noticing that there are many very familiar things in this room.

There are events,

Encounters and various other happenings of your life.

This room is the warehouse of your life.

It is the storage where everything important in your life is being stored.

It is the storage where everything important is being stored.

All the happenings in your life.

They are here.

And soon you notice a light a bit remote from you.

And there is something very important close to that light that invites you to approach.

You go closer.

You go closer and notice that this is something that has been playing an important role in your life.

Something that has really had a meaning for you.

Maybe it still has.

Something that has really affected you and made you what you are today.

It may be a happening.

It may be a life event.

Or something similar.

When you go closer to that event,

You start feeling the emotions that you once felt.

You start feeling the same feelings that were present when this really took place.

Now that you have a chance to look at this situation a bit remotely,

You have a chance of being an outsider of that event.

You go around the event and the people in it.

You also see yourself in the event.

You see the situation from various angles.

From various points of view.

And maybe you understand something new about it.

And you may also understand that you have already lived this situation,

So you don't have to live it again.

You have learned the lessons from it.

You really don't have to live it again.

You don't have to live the emotions.

You don't have to live the feelings.

You don't have to live the emotions.

You don't have to live the feelings.

You don't have to live the emotions.

You don't have to live the feelings.

Actually,

You may be thankful for the event.

And you may let go of it.

Being grateful for it.

Loving it.

And at the same time,

Letting go of it.

Now,

Please let go of it.

Thankfully,

Gratefully and bless it.

And you feel a bit lighter.

Something has gone away from your shoulders.

And you feel a bit freed.

Enjoy this feeling.

Enjoy this lightness.

At the same time,

You notice another light in the room.

And also another event.

Maybe it's a person who has played an important role in your life.

A person who came into your life at an important moment.

You go closer to that event or person.

And again,

Notice the emotions and the feelings that once filled you.

You go closer to that person or event.

And again,

Start feeling the emotions and the feelings that were once present.

You may greet the person.

And again,

See yourself in the situation a long time ago.

Understand the meaning of the situation or the event or the encounter.

Looking at yourself and looking at the other with a bit different eyes.

And looking also with your heart,

With your soul.

And understanding that this was meant to be happening.

And you can be grateful for that.

Everything that this encounter or person brought to your life.

You may thank this person for playing such an important role in your life.

For making you what you are today.

And you may let go of this event.

Thankfully,

Gratefully.

Now let go.

Bless this event.

And again,

You may feel certain lightness entering your being.

Something is really going away.

Something is being removed.

You may even notice a third moment in your life.

Maybe it's something that has happened to you quite recently.

Maybe it's something that pushed you off a bit.

Or it may be also something that awakened you.

Take a look at this event and notice the importance in it.

Notice the meaning.

Notice the wisdom in it.

And you may again feel thankful for it.

Actually be grateful for it.

For allowing you to notice something important.

Again,

Meet this event.

Thank it for what it has done to you.

What it has brought to you.

And let it go.

Lovingly.

Thankfully.

Again,

Some more lightness is entering you.

Some more freedom is entering you.

You know that there are still many things in this room.

But this time it's enough to be thankful for these events.

And to let go of these events.

And allow your being and your body be freed from all the load that they have been bringing to you.

No matter how joyful they were.

No matter how painful they were.

It's time to let go of them.

No matter what they were.

Now it's time to thank this room.

Your own warehouse.

Your own storage room.

Door is opening up automatically.

And you step out of the room.

Taking a look at the room and its contents.

Knowing that you can return to this room for letting go of things whenever you want to.

Whenever you need to.

The door is closing softly and gently behind you.

It's your door.

Opening only for you.

You see the same stairs that you came down a while ago.

They are inviting you to return and start climbing up.

This time the climbing is extremely light.

Your feet are barely touching the steps.

You are like a feather lifted by the wind.

Floating above the stairs.

Floating through the beautiful white clouds.

Floating up into the sunlight.

All the way to the top of the mountain.

Landing there really like a feather.

Gently.

Softly.

And you can feel how the sunlight is not only warming your skin,

But it's really soothing every cell in your body.

And you can feel how the wind is not only moving your hair,

But going through you.

Cleaning.

Refreshing.

You are feeling one with everything around you.

There is no need to look around you.

You know everything around you.

You feel everything around you.

You are everything around you.

You can feel the love that is everywhere.

You can feel the spirit in everything.

You can feel being the spirit in everything.

You can be extremely thankful.

Full of love.

Full of compassion.

For everything that you are.

For everything that is.

Allow this harmony to be seated in every cell in your body.

Allow this love be your energy in everything you do.

Now please allow your body to become aware of this love.

To become aware of your being.

This love.

And let go of everything.

Just be.

Just be.

Just be.

Now please allow yourself to become aware of your physical body.

Start returning to this moment.

To this room where you are.

Start becoming aware of your physical cells.

And take this love into your day.

Start moving your legs and your hands,

Your arms.

Become aware of your physical body.

And slowly,

Lovingly,

Say thanks to yourself and open up your eyes.

Thank you for this meditation.

Enjoy the love in your life.

I'm usually not great with visualization meditations. I have an imagination, but I am quick to be critical or analyze it rationally, "what is this meditation trying to get me to do?" However, this was a very helpful tool and I enjoyed it very much.
