Hey,
Welcome.
It's been a while since I've offered a track,
So this will be a coming back.
We're going to take some time to meditate together today and hopefully regulate our nervous systems.
Maybe it's the morning for you,
Maybe it's the evening after a long day,
But either way let's just take a moment to find yourself into a good position,
Whatever that looks like.
It's like laying down,
If it's on your belly or if it's sitting up.
Just find yourself in a good way that you can just be.
Today we're going to focus on being with.
A lot of my life in the background of my social interactions or my work at the computer or whatever I'm up to,
There's kind of this background part of me that's like,
Can I be with what's happening?
I think so much unconsciously in my world is pushing away,
Pushing away experiences,
Pushing away discomfort on a really subtle levels.
And all I really need to do in this lifetime is practice just being with what's happening.
Even if that being with is resisting,
Can I be with that?
So wherever you are right now,
Whether you're tender or tired or relaxed or kind of amped,
Let's just find our way into a good position and start to just be with what's here.
Any emotions,
As if you were like a little snow globe.
There is this whole little world inside.
Maybe today it's like a quiet,
Peaceful world,
Or maybe it's a really hectic world.
But just seeing if we can be with what's here.
And we have this simple question,
Just can I,
Can I be with this?
And noticing where your breath is as you're breathing in and out.
And wherever it is,
If you can just bring awareness to it and just offer a couple,
Like a little bit more length in your breath.
Expanding the belly,
Expanding the ribcage.
Just notice after a couple of those,
How that's impacting your world right now.
What happens as I lengthen my breath,
Can I be with whatever's happening now?
Maybe I actually feel more tension and I need to adjust my body.
Maybe can I just be with whatever is happening?
Maybe there's like cars honking outside or someone in the other room making sound.
Maybe you're going through a really tough time in your world,
In your life.
Can I be with that?
Can I just be with it right now?
Just right now,
Right here,
Right now.
Maybe there's grief upwelling or present.
Maybe there's just a to-do list in your head.
Are there any micro adjustments or movements that your body wants to make that you can feel even more here,
Even more relaxed?
Starting to allow you,
Even the temperature of the air on your skin,
If you can sense that.
Taking the next moments to warm and awaken your own body back into the outer world.
You want to bring your hands to your face and just give yourself a little face massage or a head massage or a neck massage.
If you want to do some gentle stretching,
Just to kind of come back,
Back to interface with the physical.
Again,
Just kind of noting like,
Okay,
As I'm awakening,
As I'm arriving back,
What is here for me?
Can I be with that?
And there's an invitation as you kind of unfold into your day today.
These moments of tension,
These moments of joy,
These moments of longing or whatever,
Whatever is there for you today.
Can I be with this?
Can I be with this?
And maybe the answer is no,
And that's like totally cool.
But just starting to get curious about that.
