Good afternoon,
Morning,
Evening,
Wherever you are.
I will do my best to reduce the noise in the background,
But there might be sounds of crickets or cars passing by.
This will be a sleep cast meditation and I want to encourage you to use this meditation to lull off into a yoga nidra type sleep.
So you get to do this meditation laying down if you'd like.
And you can use this in the afternoon for a nap.
And you can also use this to go to bed.
So see if we can welcome whatever experience we've had during the day.
Whether we're going to bed in a peaceful state or our mind is still moving and processing.
Let's start to lengthen the breath and see if we can blend ourselves in.
Into the day,
Into our lives,
Into the bed.
And just let whatever experience occur during the day wash over us.
And maybe pour out the back of the head.
The inhale and exhale will start to deepen.
With every exhale we sink even deeper into the bed,
Into the mattress,
Into the earth below us.
Every inhale we feel expansion in the chest and the lungs.
We feel it dissolving.
And every exhale we sink even deeper.
Feeling the limbs heavy.
Feeling the feet heavy.
See if the length of our breath can now double in size even slower.
As we notice the weight of the feet in our bed.
Like there are two weights,
Two huge bags of sand that we set on top of the feet.
And we place two more bags of sand on the ankles,
On the knees.
And we place two bags of sand on the thighs,
On the hips.
Feeling the heaviness of our legs as they start to rest.
Place the sandbag on the lower belly,
On the chest,
On the pecs,
And the upper chest and shoulders.
The elbow creases and the hands.
The forehead and the third eye.
As we're covered in sand,
These bags of sand we can feel.
A deep relaxation,
A deep surrender coming over us.
A blanket of safety envelops us.
As the breath continues to lengthen.
Taking a moment to notice the breath.
As we welcome in dreams,
Sweet dreams,
Beautiful dreams where we learn.
Dreams where we can play and enjoy.
Calling in only the highest of energies as we enter into this sleep state.
That we may be protected and guided in this peaceful,
Restful state.
Starting to drift.
As the breath lengthens even deeper.
Remaining in this space wherever we are.
No force.
How would it feel to enjoy a deep and restful sleep?
Letting this question wash over you.
How would it feel to enjoy this deep,
Restful sleep?
How would it feel to wake up nourished?
No need to answer,
Just feeling.
How would it feel to be nourished by my sleep?
As we start to surrender into this space,
We can start to let go of any attachment toward the day.
Any attachment toward this practice.
We fully release into a surrender.
A deep and peaceful surrender.
May this be a night of deep nourishment.
Of learning of gratitude.
Of a journey that will help you grow and guide you to your highest self.
Sweet dreams.
