Smile Meditation
Like many meditations I record, I record them initially for me. I recently (less than two weeks ago) broke my hip flying off the top of some stairs chasing my dog. I won't go into detail other than to say I broke it so badly I was given a new hip. Smile meditations are so good for decreasing stress hormones, including cortisol & adrenaline. The muscles used trigger your brain to produce more endorphins, the chemical that relieves pain and stress. Something I need help with right now. Als,o there are many traditions that say you can increase your overall health & energy by smiling into the organs. This meditation starts at the toes & works its way up to the brain, then every cell in our body. I'm using it as part of my recovery. I hope you find it beneficial for healing, stress, or just for an afternoon pick-me-up!
