Hi there.

I have a couple of,

Or a few friends actually,

Unfortunately,

That have multiple sclerosis,

All at different levels,

And I wanted to create a healing guided meditation to complement every possible stage of the healing process or maintenance process.

So I'm doing a few of these and they'll be at varying lengths and detail.

This is a shorter one to start with.

So simply begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space where you won't be disturbed.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position.

Close your eyes if you feel comfortable too,

And take two deep breaths in through the nose like this.

So breathe in,

Breathe in more,

And exhale through the mouth.

Again,

Breathe in,

Breathe in again,

Long breath like that.

Become conscious of your body and touch.

If you're lying down,

The whole back of your body on the floor or the bed or the couch.

If you're seated,

The buttocks and the back of your body on the seat and your feet on the floor.

But also becoming conscious of the touch of clothing on your skin,

The touch of air on your skin,

Where the clothing may feel a little tighter,

And where you feel warmer and cooler,

Generally feeling warmer in the armpits and the groin,

Sometimes around the waist.

Take your attention to your right ear and really listen to all the sounds coming in your right ear.

Switch over to the left ear and listen to all the sounds coming through the left ear.

Bring your attention to the space between both ears,

And then drop your awareness down to the edges of your nostrils.

Feel the coolness of the air as you breathe in,

And how it warms up as you breathe out.

Just following this natural rhythm of breath in and out of your nostrils.

Let's start by acknowledging the various symptoms of MS that you may be experiencing.

Bring your awareness to any sensations of discomfort,

Pain,

Stiffness,

Weakness,

Or fatigue in your body without judgment.

Simply observe these sensations.

It's useful to also bring your awareness and attention to the symptom-free areas of your body.

Noticing ease,

Suppleness,

Nothingness,

Or even parts of the body that feel good.

Now come back to the symptoms that you may be experiencing,

And imagine these symptoms as clouds in the sky.

Each symptom is like a cloud,

And your mind is the vast sky.

As you inhale,

Imagine drawing in a deep breath of fresh healing air.

As you exhale,

Imagine these symptom clouds slowly drifting away,

Carried by the gentle breeze.

Continue this process of deep breathing,

Inhaling healing energy,

And exhaling the symptom clouds.

Inhaling healing energy,

And exhaling the symptom clouds.

With each breath,

Feel a sense of relief and lightness as these clouds dissipate.

Next,

Imagine a warm,

Soothing light surrounding you,

Like a comforting cocoon.

This light represents your body's innate healing energy.

Imagine it permeating every cell in your body,

Gently embracing and soothing any areas affected by MS.

Now let's focus on any specific symptoms,

Like pain.

Visualize this healing light,

Whatever color you choose,

Or simply using the words,

I am imagining healing light concentrating on areas of pain.

Imagine it melting away the discomfort,

Leaving those areas calm and relaxed.

Following the breath in through the nostrils,

And out through the nostrils.

As you picture,

Imagine,

Visualize this healing light concentrating onto areas of pain,

Like a spotlight.

And then imagine it melting away the discomfort,

Leaving those areas calm and relaxed.

Stiffness and weakness.

Again,

Imagine the warmth of the healing light,

Softening any stiffness,

And gently restoring strength to your muscles.

Fatigue.

See,

Hear,

Imagine that healing light revitalizing your energy,

Lighting up all of your cells.

Imagine feeling a newfound sense of vitality,

Spreading throughout your whole body.

Balance and coordination.

Imagine your body moving with grace and ease.

Can you see yourself or imagine yourself walking steadily and confidently.

Your balance improved with every step.

Clarity of thought.

Sense your mind becoming clear and focused.

Imagine your thoughts as crystal-clear streams,

Free from fog or confusion.

Emotional well-being.

Allow the healing light to nurture your emotional state.

Feel a sense of peace,

Calm,

And inner strength.

As you continue to breathe slowly and smoothly,

Imagine the healing light.

Imagine your entire being bathed in this warm,

Nurturing energy.

Your body and mind are in a state of harmony and balance.

Now set an intention for your healing journey with MS.

With that intention,

Imagine your body and mind working together to promote wellness and resilience.

Every cell in your body working.

Visualize and imagine yourself living a fulfilling life,

Full of joy,

Love,

And vitality.

Who are you with?

Where are you?

What can you see,

Smell,

And feel in your fulfilling life?

What are you doing?

Revel and dream and imagine.

Keep following the breath in and out of your nostrils as you see yourself exactly how you would like to be.

Begin to take some deeper breaths,

Some more conscious breaths,

Slowly bringing your awareness back to this present moment.

Feeling your body wherever you are,

Listening to the sounds around you,

Taking a moment to ask yourself,

What am I most grateful for right now?

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Move your body in whatever way you need,

Fingers,

Feet,

Ankles,

Wrists,

Twists,

Stretches,

Gentle movements to awaken the whole of your body.

And then carry with you this sense of healing and well-being throughout your day or your evening.

May you be happy,

May you be well.

Thank you.
