Maybe you would like to welcome some more creativity into your life.
Perhaps you're already feeling creative but you're feeling stuck or blocked or you're unsure where to turn with your project.
Let's see if some relaxation and visualization can help unleash and reawaken that creativity inside you and help you to step forward with confidence.
So let's begin by sitting in a comfortable position in a quiet place.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and gently breathe out through your mouth.
That's it.
And again.
That's lovely.
Feel your feet resting on the ground and drawing up energy from the earth.
Feel the weight of your body sinking down into your seat.
Notice if you feel any tension.
Without judging the tension take another breath and let the tension go.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
That's great.
Now let's imagine that you're in a big beautiful light filled room.
It has windows from floor to ceiling.
It's a wonderful room full of possibility and you can feel the energy of anticipation as if something magical is about to happen.
You look around the room and you see a space that you know is for you.
Walk towards that space in your mind.
Breathe deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.
This is your space and you are allowed to create whatever you want here.
Imagine that there are all the materials you need and you have as much time as you could wish to create something beautiful.
Perhaps you want to paint something.
A large canvas appears in front of you and as you move around your creative space the materials that you need magically come to hand.
Start to work on your canvas.
Maybe you're painting in beautiful bold colours with large brush strokes.
Or perhaps you're creating a delicate and subtle watercolour.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
There's no need to rush.
What you are creating may take time and you have plenty of it.
You can take as long as you need.
Maybe you are sculpting something out of clay or carving something out of wood.
Look down at your hands.
See how skilfully you handle the tools that you're using.
Look at how beautiful the object is that seems to be almost magically appearing in your hands.
Or the way the paint emerges on the canvas.
You are creating effortlessly as if the inspiration is just flowing through you.
And the result is just what you intended but it's beautiful or powerful or moving and emotional.
You are a creator and you only have to step out of your own way and allow relaxation to flow.
Your artwork is almost complete.
You can take a step back and admire it.
Remember to keep breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Look at your work.
Feel a sense of achievement and joy flow through you.
You've created this work and yet you don't feel attached to it because it belongs to everyone.
Gently let your creation go.
You know that you will be able to create whenever you want to.
Take another deep breath.
Gently exhale.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and take your creative flow into a beautiful day.
