Hello,
And welcome to your meditation practice.
Finding yourself in a comfortable position,
Whether that be seated on a chair,
On the floor,
Maybe laying down.
Just making sure your body is comfortable wherever you are.
Letting your body be in a position where you feel safe so that you can leave the body and enter into the mind,
Into the spirit.
Start to bring conscious relaxation to the body.
Doing this first by scanning the body,
Notice where any tension resides in your body.
Notice any sensations of holding,
Maybe in the glutes,
Maybe in the pelvic floor,
Maybe in the belly,
In the shoulders,
The neck,
The jaw,
The forehead,
The eyebrows,
The hands and the feet.
Let your entire body relax.
Notice the breath traveling in and out of your body.
Notice the quality of your breath.
Notice any thoughts that are existing in the mind.
Notice how distracting they are.
Maybe they're very distracting,
Or maybe not so much.
Just noticing,
Making notes of where your mind tends to run off to,
Or making note of where your mind is running off to in this moment.
And then guiding the attention back to the breath,
Back to the body,
Back to this moment.
Knowing that any thought,
No matter how pressing it might seem,
Can be returned to whenever you choose.
So make the conscious decision to be present with your body to be present in this moment.
Feel the love and support from whatever is holding up your body right now.
Feel the earth beneath that surface.
Feeling love and support radiating up from the earth into your body.
Feeling safe,
Secure,
Supported.
Surrender to the support.
Allow the earth to support you.
Now allow anything that feels too heavy.
Anything you've been carrying that you want to let go of.
Let go of it.
Allow it to leave your body.
Feel how the earth wants to support you.
The earth wants to help.
She is our mother.
So let her mother.
Let her hold what feels like too much.
Give yourself patience,
Love and understanding for carrying these heavy things.
Then tell yourself you don't have to carry them anymore.
Tell yourself to let go.
Tell yourself to trust.
Feel the exchange of love from you to the earth.
As you let go of things you don't need.
Feel the earth sending love to replace it.
As anything leaves your body it frees up space for love.
Let your body fill up with love.
Feel the lightness and tingly sensations of the love within your body.
Feel the love soak into your body.
Into every pore on your skin,
Every muscle and every bone.
Let there be love.
Let this love stay with you throughout the rest of your day.
Knowing you have the power to bring this about whenever you may need.
Feel free to return to this meditation as often as it calls to you.
