Continuing this series of Chakra Meditations, we address the Heart Chakra, Anahata. In this guided meditation, we journey deep into the infinite well of love that resides within the heart. Inspired by the tale of the Magic Porridge Pot, this practice invites you to connect with the boundless nature of your own inner love - a love that, once tapped, flows without end. Through breath, stillness, and gentle awareness, we soften into the heart space, allowing it to overflow, touching every part of us and rippling out into the world. This meditation is an invitation to receive love, to give love, and to remember. Love has no edge. No boundary. No limit. Let it pour!

Hello and welcome.

I'm Rozanne,

Your host and guide.

Okay,

So let's get into today's meditation.

Today we're focusing into the Anahata Heart Chakra and my inspiration comes from a story that I used to love as a little girl called The Magic Porridge Pot.

It's a Grimm Brothers story which has always,

I don't know,

Just fascinated me.

I loved it.

It's the tale of a little girl and a magic porridge pot.

And the pot was enchanted and whenever she said the right words it would begin to cook lovely warm sweet porridge.

And in the story,

The mother forgot the words to stop the porridge pot from producing porridge and it kept on flowing and it went out of the door and down the street and into every home and it spilled over and into the world.

And it was messy,

Yes,

But it was also miraculous because in the end no one went hungry.

And there is something in this story,

Something so innocent and yet so true because inside each of us is a kind of magic pot too and it lives in the heart.

A deep well,

A luminous vessel,

A source of love that is not given to us by others but is already here,

Quietly waiting,

Ready to pour forth.

So this meditation is an invitation to connect with that well of love within you.

You might find that you can offer it to others,

You might find that you need to offer it to yourself,

But you might even begin to sense that this love,

Your love,

Is not limited,

That it has no edge,

No boundary,

That it too longs to spill over into the world.

So may this be your time to remember the infinite nature of your heart,

To trust in its healing powers and to let the magic porridge pot of love overflow wildly,

Generously,

Beautifully.

Okay,

So let's begin.

Allow yourself to settle into a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down,

Somewhere where you can be undisturbed for a little while.

Let your eyes close gently and draw your attention inwards.

Begin by noticing your breath.

No need to change it,

Just becoming aware of it.

The soft rise and fall,

The gentle rhythm,

Soft wave of breath moving through you.

And with each breath,

Feel yourself arriving,

Arriving in this moment.

With each exhale,

Allow yourself to soften,

Releasing tension,

Releasing effort.

Let your shoulders drop,

Your jaw unclench,

Your belly soften.

You are safe here,

You are held.

So bring your awareness now into your heart space,

To the center of your chest.

You might like to place your hand there if that feels comfortable.

Connect with the Anahata.

Imagine that your breath can move in and out of this space,

And as you breathe in,

Feel the heart gently expand,

And as you breathe out,

Feel it soften and settle.

Let your breath become the bridge between the body and the heart chakra,

Between awareness and love.

As you rest your awareness in the heart,

Imagine that within this space,

There is a magic pot,

A deep,

Quiet well,

A sacred spring that has been flowing since before you were born.

A source of love,

Ancient,

Endless,

And entirely yours.

You don't have to earn this love,

You don't have to prove yourself worthy of it,

It is simply here.

It always has been.

Perhaps you imagine it as clear water,

Or soft light,

Or a warmth radiating from within.

There is no right way to feel it,

Only the invitation to trust that it is there.

Let yourself draw close to this inner well,

And gently begin to receive from it.

Take a moment now to imagine drawing love from this well into your being,

Like filling a cup or a vessel within your heart.

Feel that love flowing in,

Softly,

Steadily,

Filling the heart space,

Filling the chest,

Spreading through the ribs,

The lungs,

The shoulders.

Let it move into the places within you that feel tender,

Or tired,

Or unseen.

Let yourself be nourished.

You do not have to give anything,

You do not have to direct this love,

Simply receive.

Feel that inner vessel filling,

Fuller and fuller,

Until it begins to overflow.

You might picture it as a glowing pot at the center of your being,

Overflowing with golden light.

Like the magic porridge pot in the story,

This love cannot be contained.

It begins to spill over the edge of your heart,

Into your belly,

Your limbs,

Into your aura,

Your field,

The space around you.

Let it pour,

Not because you are trying,

But because it is your nature.

You are made to overflow with love.

Now,

Imagine this love flowing outward,

Like the porridge spilling out of the door.

This love flows from you and into the world.

Down the street,

Into homes,

Into hearts,

Into the places that hunger for softness,

For compassion,

For grace.

Some may resist it,

Some may receive it,

But the love does not stop.

It doesn't need permission.

It moves where it's needed in its own,

Wise,

Generous way.

And now,

Let go of any sense of boundary.

There is no end to where you begin and where this love ends.

No container,

No limit.

You are the well.

You are the overflowing pot.

You are the love itself.

Rest in this knowing.

Let it hold you.

Let it dissolve you.

Let it remind you that your true nature is this,

Infinite,

Radiant,

Unconditional love.

Take a deep breath in,

And a long breath out.

Know that this love,

This well within,

Is always here.

Whenever you forget,

You can return to the breath,

To the heart,

To the overflowing.

You are held.

You are loved.

You are home.

You are love.

Slowly bring your awareness back to your physical body,

Noticing where it's resting,

The surface beneath you,

The breath within you.

And when you feel ready,

Gently begin to move your fingers,

Your toes.

And when it feels right,

Open your eyes.

Feel in your body where this meditation has landed,

And catch your breath.

Carry this love with you into your day.

Om Shanti.
