Hello my friend.

Welcome to this guided meditation to improve your mood.

This is an excellent meditation to do at any time of your day.

I recommend you do this meditation as part of your lunch break.

Your mood has a profound impact on how your day unfolds.

It not only dictates how you interact with your co-workers but it also can influence how productive you are.

A good mood translates to a healthy you.

When you are in a good mood,

You are more likely to make positive life choices that can lead to improved health and well-being for yourself.

For your sanity and also for your co-workers' sanity,

Let's do this meditation to improve your current mood.

As always,

Before we begin,

Set an intention for why you wish to improve your mood.

To help,

Ask yourself,

How will I show up in the world once I am in a better mood?

How will I interact with my co-workers?

How will I interact with my family members?

Begin by sitting comfortably in your chair.

Place your feet flat on the floor.

Place your hands on your thighs so that your palms are facing upwards.

Now find a spot in front of you that you can gaze softly and lovingly.

For the rest of the meditation,

Focus on this spot.

Allow your eyes to naturally close on your own as you progressively get relaxed.

Now bring your attention to your nose by inhaling for a count of 4,

3,

2,

1 and then exhaling.

Allow your body to settle further.

Now feel the energy moving in your palms.

See this energy form into a circular ball of yellow light.

Continue to breathe.

As I count to 5,

Feel the golden yellow ball of energy in each of your palms grow to cover your entire body.

1,

2,

3,

4 and 5.

You are now inside the yellow golden ball of light and energy.

Take a moment to notice this energy moving throughout your body.

This yellow light of energy is bathing every single one of your cells,

Improving your mood in the process.

See the light swirl around your feet and toes.

Feel the light move down your shoulders,

Your biceps and triceps and your forearms.

See the light swirl around your forehead.

Feel as the light moves down your back.

And see the light swirl around your legs,

Your calves and your shins.

Now bring your palms together and rub them in front of you to generate some heat.

Place your right palm over your chest and your left palm over your right palm.

Now see and feel the golden yellow light of energy begin to funnel from all around you through your palms straight into your heart.

This golden light continues to improve your mood.

You may become aware of this as you experience vivid colors even with your eyes closed.

You may experience this as changes to your facial expressions.

You may become aware of this as beautiful and fun memories of yours come to your conscious awareness.

You may even spontaneously smile.

Now the entire ball of yellow light energy around you has moved into every cell in your body.

Return your palms back to your thighs.

Imagine a mirror appears in front of you.

It is reflecting the new you.

The you who now has an improved mood.

Looking into this imaginary mirror,

Tell yourself three things you are grateful for in this moment.

You can say them out loud or whisper.

Just make sure your mouth is moving and there is air moving out of your mouth as you do.

Begin each sentence with the words I am grateful then say why you are grateful.

For example,

I am grateful that my job allows me to be creative.

Do this now.

Now that you are finished expressing why you are grateful,

Wiggle your shoulders.

Move your head from your left to your right.

Twirl your head around your neck.

Slowly open your eyes.

You are no longer the same person you were when you began this meditation.

Inhale deeply for a count of 5,

4,

3,

2,

1 and exhale.

Enjoy being in an improved mood and expect your experiences to be exactly what you need to grow.
