Welcome to this guided meditation.

This practice invites a gentle sense of grounding and calm as you imagine tree roots extending from your feet,

Slowly reaching deep into the earth.

It can gently help to restore emotional balance and inner strength.

This can be done in a quiet space indoors or beneath the open sky outside.

Let your feet be bare to fully connect with the earth or rest comfortably with socks or shoes if that feels right for you.

Either stand with your feet slightly apart,

Feeling balanced,

Or sit with your feet resting flat on the floor.

Flow into a steady upright posture like the trunk of a wonderful tree.

Let your arms rest gently by your sides.

Feel your hands loosen,

Resting with ease.

Soften your face and jaw.

Relax your shoulders completely.

Close your eyes or cast them downward in a soft gaze if this is more comfortable for you.

Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and gently breathe out through your mouth.

One more deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Begin to breathe naturally,

Feeling the air moving in and out of your body.

With your awareness here,

See yourself as a strong beautiful tree.

Your body as the solid trunk,

Standing tall and steady.

Feel the gentle weight of your body grounding you here.

Picture flourishing branches from the top of your body,

Stretching outward and upward,

Forming a leafy canopy that shelters you in safety and peace.

Sense the glorious sunlight filtering through the abundance of leaves above.

Now direct your attention to the steadiness in your legs.

Moving downward from the soles of your feet,

Imagine deep anchoring roots reaching into the ground below.

Feel their connection weaving into the nourishing soil and then continuing into the depths of the rich inner land beneath the soil.

The roots go stronger,

Anchoring you firmly into place.

Sense their steady,

Unwavering strength as they weave deeper and deeper through steadfast colorful stone and layered ancient rock.

Every inch of your roots carries powerful solidity.

Feel the roots travel deep into the earth's many layers and all the way to its core.

The far-reaching roots create a secure foundation beneath you.

Trust in the stability,

Knowing it will always support you.

Now feel the earth's sacred energy rising through your roots,

A calm,

Balanced force moving upward into your body.

Let it fill you slowly from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head.

Feel the steadiness of the energy throughout your body.

Embrace the tranquility and groundedness here for a few moments.

When you are ready,

Gently return your awareness to the space around you.

Inhale slowly,

Exhale gently.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Open your eyes naturally.

Notice the colors and objects around you and anything you may hear in the near future.

Feel the presence of the earth in the near or far distance.

Keep feeling the steady presence of the ground beneath your feet.

Carry with you a sense of being strong,

Rooted,

And at peace.

Know you can return to this grounded state whenever you need to during your day.

Thank you for choosing this time for nurturing and inner strength building self-care.
