Welcome to this meditation to ease body pain and help you feel at ease.

Living with physical discomfort can be very draining.

It resides not only in the body but also on the mind and can influence how you move through your day and how you feel within yourself.

This practice offers a gentle place to rest and to find moments of relief.

Find a comfortable place to be,

Either lying down or seated.

Gently close your eyes.

Relax your face and jaw.

Soften your arms and shoulders and let them fall in their natural place.

Breathe in slowly,

Allowing the air to flow into your belly and as you exhale,

Let any discomfort begin to soften into ease.

Draw in another full breath and release it slowly as your entire body relaxes.

As we begin,

Bring your awareness to the area where you feel discomfort.

It may be in one location in the body or in several that need care.

Simply allow this to gently come into focus without changing anything.

Now picture a soft white light surrounding you.

Imagine it like a warm gentle glow resting in the space around your body.

It is peaceful and steady,

Offering a feeling of ease that is comforting you.

Breathing in through your nose,

Invite the healing light inside,

Flowing into your lungs.

With each breath,

Its gentleness and care spreads to the areas of your body where it is most needed.

As you continue to breathe in,

The compassionate light moves within your body to these locations,

Soothing and offering relief.

Easing further into this practice,

With each breath in,

Allow the white light to become even more present,

Softer and peaceful.

Notice how its warmth and comfort is settling where care is needed,

Healing as it brings a quiet shift to complete ease and relaxation in the area without any effort from you.

As you feel more nurtured,

Soothed and relaxed,

Allow the gentle and supportive glow to settle into these areas of your body.

Stay here for a few more minutes,

Remaining in the sensation of warmth,

Gentleness and relief.

Now imagine the healing white light slowly moving throughout your entire body.

Let it drift through your head,

Face,

Throat,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Hands,

Chest,

Back,

Belly,

Hips,

Legs,

Knees,

Ankles,

Feet,

And toes.

Feel its soothing presence throughout your body.

And let the light continue to surround the outside of your body,

Filling the space like a gentle radiance of calm.

From the inside out,

You are filled and surrounded by a loving,

Kind white light that comforts your needs.

Whisper or silently repeat,

The light within me brings comfort and renewal.

Peaceful light surrounds and supports me.

With each breath,

I invite more light and more ease.

Rest in this awareness and allow yourself to be here without effort,

In a present and peaceful manner,

Letting the healing white light support you,

Hold you and provide overall ease.

Take a deep breath in,

Slowly exhale.

In the soft quiet that closes this practice,

Know that you can return to this place of comfort at any time.

The warm and caring light is always available to you whenever you need support,

Relief,

Or a moment of ease and peace.

When you feel ready,

Begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Gently open your eyes and notice the colors and shapes around you.

Carry this sense of comfort with you.

Thank you for creating this space to rest in light and care.
