Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in this intention-setting meditation,
A chance to focus your mind on what you really want,
Empowering your goal by making it clear and compelling.
So make yourself comfy and just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind is gently guided through this meditation.
First close your eyes and begin with a deep cleansing breath.
Take another deep breath and really let go on the out-breath.
Now let your breathing settle into its own natural rhythm,
Whatever feels good for you,
And relax the muscles.
Let the neck soften,
The shoulders drop.
Allow the arms and hands to rest,
Letting more pleasant stillness into the moment.
Relax your stomach muscles.
Let the whole body rest.
Let it relax,
And as the body relaxes,
The mind relaxes,
Making it ready to focus on an intention.
So take a moment to bring to mind an area of your life you'd like to improve.
Now think about what success in that area would look like and consider it on two levels.
Looking at it from level one,
You may imagine an achievement,
The moment in time that you can see.
Focus on that now.
See it,
Hear it,
Feel it.
Now look at it from level two.
What kind of person do you have to be to get there?
What qualities do you need?
Confidence?
Discipline?
Self-belief?
Courage?
Focus on the quality that deep down you know would make the biggest difference to your success.
Now in your imagination,
Embody that quality as you imagine your success.
Hold your body in a posture that embodies that quality.
Notice what positive messages you're telling yourself.
Take a moment to feel the sense of personal power in this state.
Now from this powerful state,
State your intention and ensure that you include the quality to make it happen.
For example,
May I have the courage to present my ideas at the meeting?
Take a minute now to word your intention and gently repeat the phrase,
Breathing more life into it each time.
Well done.
Now open your eyes and come fully back into your surroundings,
Into the present moment,
Bringing with you the clarity and power of your level two intention.
Use it well so you can channel that intention into who you need to be to get there.
