Hello and welcome to this short pre-sleep guided meditation,
I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you into a relaxed state to settle you towards sleep.
So get into a comfy position,
Close your eyes and set the intention to let go of the day and sleep.
Imagine all the thoughts you could dwell over,
Take a deep breath in and then breathe those thoughts out.
Do this one more time.
Feel the relief,
The lightness.
Now imagine all the physical tension in your body gathering in the surface of your skin.
Take a deep breath in and breathe that tension out from the skin itself,
Evaporating from your body.
Do this again,
Let it go,
Feel the relaxation that remains,
Rest in that feeling,
That stillness,
That calm.
Notice how things are slowing down,
Your breathing,
Your mind,
Content with the moment,
Knowing that what's best for you now is to let go of thoughts of the past and future and simply rest in the bliss of the present moment.
Feel the peace of the present moment.
In your body,
In your mind,
Give yourself permission to drift towards sleep,
Which will happen in its own time,
And in the meantime,
You can simply enjoy the healing relaxation of the present,
As long as you like,
Relaxed and peaceful.
