With your eyes open or closed,

Settling back in the position that you find yourself in,

Welcome the environment and sounds around you,

The touch of air on your skin,

The sensations where your body touches the surface that's supporting it.

Welcome and affirm your heartfelt mission,

The feeling of life living you,

That gives a sense of purpose,

Meaning,

And value to your life.

Welcome and affirm your intention,

Your intention that supports you in realizing your deepest heartfelt mission in your daily life.

Welcome and affirm your inner resource,

The felt sense of well-being,

And of feeling secure and at ease in this and every moment.

And continuing to feel your inner resource,

Bring attention to sensation in your jaw,

Mouth,

Ears,

Eyes,

Forehead and scalp,

Shoulders,

Arms,

The sensation of your palms and fingers,

The sensation of your entire torso,

Pelvis,

Legs,

And feet,

The sensation of your entire body,

And your body as a radiant field of sensation.

And feel yourself as the observer of all these sensations that are present in your awareness,

Affirming to yourself,

I am aware,

I am at ease,

I am safe and secure with myself.

Sense your body breathing itself,

Abdomen and chest expanding with each inhalation,

Abdomen and chest releasing with each exhalation.

With each exhalation,

Affirm to yourself,

I am aware,

I am at ease,

I am aware and at ease.

The feeling of being aware and at ease with each inhalation,

With each exhalation continuing to affirm to yourself,

I am aware and at ease.

Note and welcome emotions and thoughts that are present without trying to change anything.

Welcoming your experience just as it is.

Just noting an emotion,

Particular thought,

Feeling how you're aware of these different thoughts and emotions that are coming and going.

If it's helpful,

Note and experience opposites of emotions and thoughts that are present,

All the while noting actions that these messengers,

Positive and negative,

Are inviting you to take into your life.

Affirming to yourself,

I have within me the perfect response to each and every moment.

And welcome in the ease and joy of simply being.

And yourself as the observer of everything you're experiencing,

Including this ease of simply being.

Feeling how everything is arising and passing away in your awareness.

Welcome yourself as the spacious openness of awareness itself,

The felt sense of being everywhere,

Inside and outside,

As awareness.

The undeniable felt sense of being awareness.

And with your attention open to all directions at the same time,

Front and back,

Left and right,

Inside and out.

Welcome the feeling of the wholeness of life,

Life living you as its unique expression,

Everything interconnected through the underlying essence of life that's living everything.

And as you're ready,

Open and close your eyes several times while welcoming your inner resource of ease and well-being,

Feeling grounded and connected to yourself and the world around you and the feeling of life living you,

Giving you a sense of purpose,

Meaning and value to your life.

And as you're ready,

Come back to your wide awake state of mind and body,

Eyes open,

Taking in the environment around you,

Allowing the feeling of well-being to remain with you as you move back now into your daily life.

And gratitude for taking this time for experiencing your health,

Healing and wholeness,

And for taking this time for the practice of I Rest.
