I invite you to bring yourself to a comfortable seated upright position.
With your back straight,
Your hands gently resting on your lap,
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.
Realizing that the breath is life.
It is not you breathing,
It is the breath breathing you.
So we start with 15 deep breaths through the mouth,
Full and complete,
Knowing that the breath is nourishing and purifying both our body and our mind.
And so begin with a deep breath in,
Release.

Nourishing,
Purifying.

And hold your breath for 60 seconds.
Realize that there's nothing your body needs,
That you are now observing your body,
And as the observer,
Notice the sensations that you feel in your fingers,
The sensations on your skin where your clothing is touching,
The sensations of the air moving against your face.
Realize that you are not these sensations,
Rather you are the observer.
Observe your magnificent heart beating,
Bringing oxygen to your cells,
And taking away impurities.
Seriously take a deep breath in now,
Hold that breath for 15 seconds as you squeeze your belly,
Squeeze your chest,
Pushing that light and life force into all cells,
And now let it go.
Today we're going to activate and clear the root chakra.
The root chakra is our foundation and our connection to Mother Earth.
It connects to our basic human instinct for survival,
Stability,
And security.
When this energy center is blocked or inactive,
We have a fear of living.
So I invite you to bring your attention to this energy center at the base of the spine.
Visualize a two inch in diameter circle of red light.
This light is spinning clockwise.
As you are facing out,
It is moving up and to your right.
The mantra that we will use for this energy center is LAM.
LAM.
Remember,
It is the vibration of the mantra that heals and opens.
We're not looking for meaning,
We're looking to the vibration and we let it reverberate within this energy center.
So we say this together out loud.

We now move the energy from the crown to the heart to the root.

Two inches above the top of your head.
Visualize a purple circle of light spinning clockwise.
Now see this light begin to surround you,
Encapsulate you in your own spiritual cocoon.
In this cocoon,
You are safe.
You are protected.
Now bring your awareness back to your root center,
Visualizing that red circle of light,
And now see that light expand as it fills every cell of your body,
The space between the cells,
And then all the way to the outer part of your body,
Filling the entire cocoon with this red,
Healing,
Grounded light.
Knowing that the light is doing its work,
Your job is to simply breathe through your nose gently and easily and rhythmically.

Take a nice easy breath into the root center,
And notice how connected you are to your body,

In the center of your chest,
And when you release,
Feel the energy of the heart alive within you.
Now go up and breathe into your third eye,
Between your eyebrows and the center of your head,
And when you breathe in here,
You open up the flow of divine wisdom.
So today you've acted your connection to mother earth,
You've connected it to your heart,
And to divine wisdom.
The day is now yours to create,
As only you can.
So gently and easily begin to bring your awareness back to this time,
To this place,
