Hello and welcome.
I'm the friendly fluffy white cloud and I have something written upon my belly.
Can you see?
It says the word calm and you see my big fluffy belly gently moving as I breathe in and breathe out.
It's nice to be calm.
That's because at night time the stars come out and all my other friendly fluffy cloud friends come out as well so they can float in the sky with me and we can all be calm together.
Some of my friendly fluffy cloud friends have the same word written upon their belly as me.
Calm.
But others have other words.
Words like relax,
Peaceful,
Sleepy.
In fact we like to be calm so much that we drift into a lovely space of dreamy time.
Relaxing,
Peaceful,
Sleepy,
Calm time.
Then we are able to use our pretending skills for some magical things.
Would you like to start pretending now?
If you like you can imagine up in the sky that there are three white fluffy friendly clouds.
Each one of them has a smile on their face.
It's as though they know you.
They've known you for a long time.
It's like they're your friend.
As you look at each one of these white fluffy clouds you realize that they are all breathing together in time.
Their fluffy white bellies are filling up and emptying together in time.
They are doing this very gently.
Can you imagine these three white bellies of these happy clouds rising up and down.
All of them together.
Let's try an experiment shall we?
If you like you can make the bellies of these clouds rise up and down at the same time as your belly moves up and down.
That's it.
Just imagining the bellies of these clouds rising up and down at the same time as your belly moves up and down.
Now these three clouds.
Let's look at them shall we?
Because cloud number one likes to notice the sound of its breathing.
Can you notice the gentle sound of your breathing right now just like cloud number one?
And when you get caught up by a thought you can just gently come back again to this little experiment.
Noticing the sound of your breathing just like cloud number one.
Cloud number two likes to notice the temperature of its breathing.
Can you do this too?
This means feeling the cool air as it comes in and the warm air as it leaves.
Maybe you can notice this right now.
The cool air coming in and the warm air as it leaves.
Now that was cloud number two.
What about cloud number three?
Can you notice how your in-breath comes in and then comes to a stop?
And then your out-breath goes out and then comes to a stop.
That's what cloud number three likes to do.
Maybe you would like this as well.
Now here's the fun part.
There were three experiments from these three friendly fluffy white clouds.
What was your favorite experiment?
Was it cloud number one who likes to notice the sound of the breathing?
Was it cloud number two who likes to notice the temperature of its breathing?
Or was it cloud number three who likes to notice the gentle pause at the top and the bottom of each breath?
Now whichever you chose,
Whichever was your favorite,
Can be a really helpful thing to remember because you can choose your favorite to help keep you settled and calm.
It can be really helpful in the daytime sometimes to get nice and calm and it can also be useful in helping us to drift off to sleep.
