This is me,
Choosing to be here now.
I choose to be here,
Right now.
It's good for me to tune into myself,
To give myself this gentle recognition,
Right here and now.
To choose myself in this moment.
This is me,
Here I am.
This is me,
Gently noticing all of these sensations of how I am holding my body in this moment.
All these sensations that open up and give me this experience of this me,
Here,
Now.
This is me,
Noticing the activity of my mind.
Hello mind,
Are you busy,
Not so busy,
Or somewhere in between?
I choose to notice.
Noticing how my thoughts present themselves.
Is my mind showing me things in pictures,
Telling me things in words,
Or a bit of both?
Here I am,
Simply noticing,
Pictures,
Words,
Or a bit of both.
Bringing attention down,
Neck down,
Below the level of thought,
Allowing sensations within and upon my body to open up to me.
This is me,
Noticing the gentle downward pull from the flow of gravity.
And the more I experience this,
The more grounded I become.
The more I feel the downward pull,
The more aligned,
Rational and grounded I become.
I choose to recognize that I don't need to feel anything in particular,
But as I take attention to the space where I usually do experience feelings and emotions,
I can simply bring soft,
Curious awareness to this place.
This is me,
Noticing what it's like to open up and see what may be there.
Maybe a subtle feeling of this,
Or a significant feeling of that.
This is me,
Gently noticing energies in motion.
And whether pleasant,
Not so pleasant,
Or neutral,
I know whatever is there is part of a normal human experience.
As I am here in this moment,
Listening to these words,
Being a little more intimate with myself.
Noticing my mind.
Noticing my body.
Every breath my body breathes.
Every second that I connect to my breath is a moment of me taking care of myself.
Every single moment of connection to the breath is a non-verbal declaration to myself for my self-care.
I love the softness of my breath because it nurtures me.
I love the fact that this is a non-verbal declaration to myself and for my self-care.
It doesn't matter what my mind says or how it distracts me.
This breath is all that matters.
And every second I connect to it,
It is a gift to me and from me.
In breath,
Out breath.
This is me,
Here I am.
